Sometimes, you just need to jot down simple plain-text notes—maybe as a temporary memo or something you’ll copy elsewhere later. However, most note-taking apps are either too complicated or impose their own rich formatting (such as background colors and other styles), which makes it difficult to extract clean plain text for use in other contexts.
