Wasted $20 for a video downloader that doesn't download the whole video or has several glitches in a video.

I could download 5 videos and then I bought Premium. Unfortunately, ever since the tool is not working any longer :-( It is just "waiting for media" and nothing seems to help.

Doesn't work on any site anymore, no reason to use.

I downloaded 5 videos with no issue. After I paid for software, it started downloading only blackened screens. I even did not notice that I worked for 2 days with the files that cannot be watched. Downloads dont work. Very slow to download. Does not have a batch download to make life easier.

it used to work for some things, but today, when I tried to download a video off website, it said i can't use it to download because of limitation of 1 download for every 2 hours or something. (unless i upgrade to paid version.) classic bait and switch

Why is it telling me to wait 2 hours to download another video when I've never needed to do this before? Super weird to switch up payment model without any notice...

I can no longer download videos consecutively due to the new requirement to pay to do so or wait 2 hours apiece in between. In this economy.

"download ANY video" so it says. First 2 sites I went to, the extension says it wont do it. So false advertising.

Was epic, now won't work on Vimeo. I will change my review if they bring this back.

Developer got greedy and wants money otherwise you can download only one video every two hours! I found already another app to replace it.

My premium account is no longer working. I can’t download videos, and it feels like a waste of money.

The older version I would give 5 stars. This newer version is horrible --not easier to use at all, clunky, and temperamental. I tried to give it a chance, but it just isn't as great as it once was. Maybe it's not aimed at my crowd (whatever that means), or maybe they're monetizing it more, or maybe they want it to have more bells and whistles...I don't know...but the older version was solid and it was reliable --this one, not so much. One star, because I can't give it no stars.

One download per 2 hours unless you pay for premium..... There are other online dowloaders with no limit and are free.

The 2025 v10 update is a deliberate kill-switch for lifetime customers. They have removed the registration box for legacy 'A' licenses and replaced it with a 6-digit email verification system that never sends the email to old key holders. I spent 2 hours reinstalling the CoApp and extension only to be met with a 'License: not set' message that cannot be fixed because the UI is intentionally broken. This is a scam to force a second payment for a product I already own for life. I paid for a LIFETIME license. Hidden Menus: The "Licensing" tab is completely missing from the settings, even with the CoApp installed. Broken Verification: They demand a 6-digit code to "verify" your email, but it never arrives because legacy keys aren't linked to their new account system. Vanish Support: Emails to support go ignored. Paid features stay locked behind watermarks and limits. the new 2025 (v10) update has rendered it completely useless. If you do not respect your TOS and the LIFETIME license I purchased refund my money. I cannot get back the time I wasted due to you.

Says you need a license to download DRM, but says it will with premium. Then says it cannot after you pay. Scam, lies and thieves

They demand money, add watermarks, and superimpose their advertising on downloaded videos.

Every download stops at 25%. Every single one. Dont recommend. If your trying to download movies from random websites, this extension isnt gonna work for you.

Used to be great. Now not functional in many scenarios.

A recent update really screwed over VHD. Constant crashes, can't download videos it previously had no issues with and, most annoying of all, ignores your set download folder to ALWAYS ask for a folder, not even remembering the previous one. The pro version is also laughably overpriced.

Just a rip-off. Bought a full version and can't download files from youtube, total scum for 30$.

Paid for and been using for quite some time. No longer supports YouTube download due to YouTube, that's fine, recommends me to switch to Firefox, that's understandable. Won't let me use my license key in FF and wants me to purchase again. Scummy behaviour.

Hi everyone, I need some help. Video DownloadHelper suddenly started downloading videos in very low quality, blurry, sometimes with no audio, or with a green screen. This never happened before. I already tried different browsers and formats, but all I get is poor quality or broken files. Does anyone know how to fix this or what settings I should change? Thanks in advance!

License bought on chrome is for chrome only. If you ever switch browsers, you have to buy again.

very bad basically a scam all of a sudden they force you to buy the pro version if you want to download more than one video every 2 hours or whatever they try and make you do. weird. used to be good, now its just a big scam and the page is in arabic when you try and see anything. bad bad bad dont use
