Zotero Connector

Doesn't work if you don't give it access to read all websites. That's an unacceptable security risk. Don't use this.

It worked very well, but yesterday Zotero updated to version 8.0.3 (64-bit), and the new version in text citations is horrendous, the Font format and colour do not follow the text anymore, and the layout is not intuitive anymore. Sadly, I will have to move to another reference management tool :(

Not user friendly at all, also not reliable

User interface is horrendous, half the times their service doesn't work. Desktop app is even worse

so useless, somehow it always finds a reason to not work

No longer working with Chrome. Used to love this. Now it only sporadically saves my files.

Also finding that this doesn't do a thing in Chrome -- just a button that does nothing when you click it.

Zotero tab appears but it just gives a white recangle on chrome. It works in firefox. All up to date, no other extensions. It needs to be fixed

Why does Chrome extension no longer support Zotero Connector??? it was turned off on all my devices. Just so confused. Can anyone explain this?

hours trying to get Zotero, does n't work in word - same error over and over despite reloading, restarting, reinstalling back to endnote.

This extension has memory leak, and can't be configured to access only specific sites.

I have spent more time trying to get Zotero to work as I have actually writing my paper, probably 4+ hours total today. I've watched YouTube videos, restarted the computer twice, uninstalled and reinstalled Zotero, redownloaded Connector again and again, Quit Zotero and reopened it, enabled cookies. And then the internet went out for a while. Zotero will insert a citation about 1 of every 5+ times I try it. No idea why it won't work the other 4 to 10 times I try it. I'm getting ready to delete the whole thing and try another citation app!

Once added to toolbar, clicking "Zotero Connector" just takes me to the "Download Zotero Connector" page. So...doesn't work :(

Awful. Chrome extension is nonfunctional. I have tried closing and reopening everything, restarting device, etc. I have had issues with Zotero from day one. Would NOT recommend. Abysmal application. Completely unable to integrate with Google docs. A waste of my time.

This was fantastic until it just stopped working. I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times and the extension just no longer works mid way through a paper.

Zotero is really difficult to use, the UI is very complicated and not at all intuitive.

It used to work perfectly, but the latest release does not pick book metadata from Amazon books...I cant wait for a fix...

This errors happens with the latest connector. An error occurred saving with IEEE Xplore. Attempting to save using Save as Webpage instead.

why does it always get error when I try to grap the articles on science direct??? Does the zotero team has any conflict with Elsevier?

It never syncs up, wasted 2 hours trying everything I can to add a document and still nothing.

Creswell defines research as "a process of steps used to collect and analyze information to increase our understanding of a topic or issue" (Creswell 2014, 3). Also, Booth, Colomb, and Williams describe research as "a systematic inquiry into a subject to discover or revise facts, theories, applications, etc." (Booth, Colomb, and Williams 2008, 11).

You say the problem is Google Docs, but MS Word extension is also dysfunctional right now. This is very bad because the scientific work it is used for is heavily dependent on time schedules. Nobody has time to transfer citations as they take hours to compile already, and Zotero has a really narrow margin of error in terms of operational quality. Now we see it is completely failing. I might have to switch to Mendeley, which is a decision I am not happy with, but obliged to, in order to continue my work. How can we trust Zotero to NOT mess up in a critical time in the future too?

Zotero just ruined all of the citations in my dissertation with whatever bug is going on with google docs. Unreliable nightmare!

Literally doesn't work at all. I thought Mendeley was bad, but I wasn't prepared for this kind of low quality.

This is the buggiest app i´ve ever used. Less work to do citations by hand.

I find Zotero the most difficult App I have ever encountered. I do not know how to instal the work plug in and the instructions are not good.

I have wasted about 4 hours trying to figure out how this works with Word. The instructions on the website are useless

Does absolutely nothing when I click on the button in my toolbar on Brave Browser (which is the same as Chrome, for all intents and purposes). Not added to my Zotero library - nothing. Pity. This seems like it would be so nice to have.

Somehow this extension managed to make chrome unable to connect to any website. Removing the extension immediately restored access to all websites. Clearly somewhat buggy.

It is little bit complicate to use.
