You would think they'd put a disclaimer or something that its only a free 2 week trial :(
require signin to some IE tab account
From $19 to $39 in less than a year. They think they're Google? LOL Skip IE Tab use Microsoft Edge's “IE mode” (built-in): 1.)Open Microsoft Edge. 2.)Go to Settings > Default browser. 3.)Turn on Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode. 4.)Restart Edge. 5.)Go to the legacy site. 6.)Click the … (three dots) menu > Reload in Internet Explorer mode. 7.)If you need it to always open in IE mode: … > Settings > Default browser > Internet Explorer mode pages > Add the site URL. Works great and you don’t need any third-party extension anymore.
Terrible slow, the option "Resolve all URLs through local network" from the documentation is missing and it is paid!
Contacted them many times to ask a question and they never reply, they forgot to create customer service department It does not support saving log in info also why IETabhelper trying to contact fastly on 151.101.128.84 ???
Not worth paying. Just use Edge browser with "Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode (IE mode)" set to allowed in settings.
Click-bait - requires payment not mentioned until after it has been downloaded and installed.
Requires a licence after two weeks.
very dissapointed to see a once in a while useful extension will require recurring payment. Uninstalling
Aww yes the old swap to paid to cash in on old people. What scum
not free
Do not work with local IP. Very strange
bad
paid, just for IE mode
It was free and working just fine, now it's hidden behind paywall. Goodbye.
If you're looking for an alternative to IE Tab in Google Chrome (to render web pages that require Internet Explorer's engine), use Microsoft Edge (IE Mode) How to Use IE Mode in Microsoft Edge: Open Microsoft Edge. Go to Settings > Default browser. Enable Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode. Reload any website and right-click to choose in the menu choose Reload in Internet Explorer mode, or set specific sites to always open in IE mode. Thanks me later
make foolish, dont install
having to pay a monthly subscription fee for something u use once a month and this used to be free earlier, very disappointing
A google chrome extension that you have to pay for!? I use this once a year and have done for years but now it's paid it's just not worth it.
used this extention free for cc camera web view. but now it was paid so disappointing.
Having to pay for a Extension let alone a monthly fee.
Used this for a few years. Chrome says this extension was "corrupted" , so clicked on repair. Now this wants money. Will go with another extension.
worst thing ever. cannot get it to work on newer models. unfortunately company whose software I need only works through this. WORST EVER
I am very disappointed with IE Tab
Doesn't work unless you pay an annual fee that isn't mentioned on the overview.
Not specifying on the extension page that it is paid is misleading.
Started to charge for basic use, should have added more functinality and paygated that instead, will switch over to Edge for activeX.
paid
Paid extension....
Paid extension.
thank god find a tick to run ie in 2024 for free.
Bad, Not free anymore.
Not free anymore.
Used to be the best, now they want subscriptions and its slow, plus it now requires extra downloads and permissions. There are plenty of secure options for free. Skip this.
Looks like I'm finding a free alternative now.
Did not work with running JRE within IE tab for some older legacy management pages for iot devices onsite. To add to that, you're charging a yearly subscription for this? Lots of free versions, plus I'll go open edge and use IE Compatibility mode instead and save the $$. Way too much sorry guys.
Wow.. No warning to users and remove their previously free extension... Checked and its $19\user PER YEAR.. No ty.. UNINSTALL
It was really handy for viewing my home cctv cameras and had used it for years. I have now gotten a message that my "2 week trial" is up and they want to charge me $20 for a yearly licence! Not happy at all and would not be worth the money.
Paid
This was excellent extension for a long time, and it offered free mode and paid mode that had additional features needed only for professional use. As I used it for personal use, free mode was really great for me. But since Microsoft removed Internet Explorer, looks like extension developers got greedy and removed the free mode. Maybe it is their right, but it is not a nice thing to do and it caused me to lose all trust in them. No trust means not using the software anymore, even if I really needed it and could afford the subscription payment. But actually this is not needed. There are multiple ways to use IE mode without using third-party extensions. For now it is still possible to open Internet Explorer on Windows 10 and 11 if you know how (Google is your friend). You can run Windows 7 or older in a VM if you really want. And at our work, where we have to manage it using GPO and make it easy for regular users to open special sites, there is IE Mode in Edge, that isn't too easy to configure in the right way, but once you figure out how to do it, it works quite nicely for the whole organization. Of course IE Mode in Edge is also available for home user, so no real reason to pay money for software IF you don't trust the developers.
Funny how this extension used to be free prior to support for IE dropped. Shameless money grab.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY PER MONTH. This is NOT free and should be removed from the chromestore for being sneaking!
Works but have suddenly started charging $19 annually. This is not made clear in the chrome store listing. Use the IE mode in edge instead.
did not work
not working when i am click on ie tab button
i don't like it at all!!!
@Arthur Metherall BHCC a way you can add a button is when you open chrome and open up extension select "pin"
ie plug-in $19... LOL
I used this for years and now have a new PC and it wants me to pay for it. No thank you.
Worked with no issues on my old computer and now on my new computer, keeps saying it is a two week trial and requires a paid subscription after that.
