Does not work for chrome anymore
Not working.
It's broken.
As of yesterday when you click the download button, absolutely nothing happens. Developer completely killed their app yesterday. Back to the drawing board.
It stopped working.
* Doesn't download full-resolution images until I open them. This is not readily apparent and can be very annoying. * The names of the downloaded files are just a bunch of random numbers. Useless for sorting, grouping or archiving. Some attempt should have been made to put the IG username in the downloaded files' names. As it is, utterly useless and a BIG ZERO.
Instagram changed its code, and Image Downloader for IW didn't follow. It is broken since January 2022. Useless. Previously (2019), I've said: It does save the image you have on your screen. But that might not be the highest available resolution, unfortunately. It works beautifully when you first click on the thumbnail of the image you want to save! Thanks a lot for it!
Its very hard too see what gets updated cause there is not any patch notes anywhere. tell me where to see patch notes and i will update my review
It stopped working.
it doesn't work, the download options appears but it can't download any pictures
Doesn't work no more when you click on it button
It downloads the lowest resolution version! Utter garbage!
Downloads only 1 image from the stack, gives it a weird name "[image] - randon number", and does not remember last download location. As stated, it will not grab any videos, but it does get the video's preview image if visible in the feed. So it's somewhat useful but also weirdly awkward. Looking at the extension code, [image] is just set in stone, and the number is randomized! You could save the same image repeatedly and never know it. Why couldn't the Dev use the filename from Instagram? It does not make sense even for a first-time app, unless maybe they didn't write the code? The extension works, it's just weird. if (url) { const ext = config.find(url); const name = (Math.random() * 1e7).toFixed(0); background.send("download", { "url": url, "filename": "[image] - " + name + '.' + ext }); }
I loved this extension but it's not working properly anymore. Maybe it was an update to the extension, chrome, or instagram website? Now when I access instagram website with the extension enabled, the formatting is very weird (the whole site is left aligned). Stories don't work at all - when I try to open a story it just shows a blank white page.
it does not download the video post/stories.
It downloads, just not the largest format available. It only downloads the displayed version of the picture, but in the HTML code there are the larger versions. 3 stars for now until it's fixed!
