When it works, it works great. However 3/4 times it just crashes.

The core functionality simply doesn't work in Gemini if the prompt is started with a "Custom Gem." I contacted their support for help and never received a response—checked spam and all other folders, nothing. For a paid product, having an unresponsive support channel is unacceptable. You need to actively monitor and reply to your support tickets. When users have problems, they need to know someone is there to help. A quick check shows their social media has been inactive for over a year. Ironically, the only link that seems to work flawlessly is the one for the payment option. This gives the strong impression that the project is abandoned. If you are still accepting money from customers, you have an obligation to communicate and show that the product is actively maintained. It's an interesting concept, but in its current state, it's a useless toy for any real work.

Too many bugs and performance problems. The app loads slowly, and it even seems to drag down ChatGPT’s own load times when it’s running. On top of that, it bombards me with upgrade prompts. So many that it feels more like a paywall than a product. Here’s what I’m seeing: - Stability: frequent glitches and occasional freezes that force a refresh. - Speed: sluggish startup and noticeable lag during normal use. - Interference: ChatGPT pages take longer to render whenever this is enabled. - Upsells: repetitive “go Pro” pop-ups and banners that interrupt workflow. I’d reconsider if they fix the performance issues, reduce the upgrade nags to something reasonable (e.g., once per session), and focus on stability first. As it stands, it hurts productivity more than it helps. P.S. All positive reviews look fake tbh.

Heads up: this is like a scam. Do not enter your credit card details. The glowing “reviews” are clearly manufactured, and there’s even a deceptive popup dangling a promo code. Just a ploy to get you to hand over your card number. Once they have it, you risk unexpected charges and a headache trying to cancel. If you’ve already shared your card: - Contact your bank right away to block the charge and request a new card. - Monitor your statements for any unfamiliar transactions. - Report the site to your card issuer and, if applicable, your local consumer protection agency.

These reviews are not real. The app does not work correctly. It does not allow the full chat to be exported. It may be able to export a small section of the chat, but not the entire chat. Too many issues to mention.

cant get it to work on deepseek or gemini

I was excited to use Echoes, and I tried signing up for the membership, but it didn't work for me at all, and "Check the discord" doesn't count as documentation. I was trying to use Echoes with Gemini, and maybe it's bad at connecting to Gemini, but what I saw was 1) Echoes was not listing all of the chats that I had in Gemini and that I wanted to export. 2) When I exported a chat, it was a fraction of a fraction of the chat that was exported. So, seemingly a total fail. Maybe it would've worked with help from the discord, but I decided to just pursue my own ways of exporting AI context rather than this. The membership and the UI also just feel janky, like I'm going to have to keep an eye on the credit card receipts to make sure they actually canceled the membership. Obviously there are many happy customers using this, so I'm sure it works for them, but I personally didn't see it as worth the bother.

Bought Lifetime on the 23 May 2025, because I believe in supporting Devs. Extension didn't work, Sent a email on the 25th, go no reply, sent a second on the 28th got no reply. didn't receive reply/support until I opened a PayPal case. Aug 7, Version 127.0.6533.72 (Official Build) (64-bit), Ubuntu 24.04, does not work at all. Always says no results found even if I search for words present in both titles and conversations.

This worked fine, now asking permission for all data on all websites = NOT HAPPENING. Sadly, I paid for this and this was a decent product but changing the rules in the middle of the game (after paying) isn't good. Hopefully they can sort this out. Until that time I would recommend against installing or buying this.

from a technical standpoint, the app seems very solid and professional. However, it tries to sell you its pro version quite aggressively, withholding some of the search results from you without it, which makes it essentially unuseable for me.

Sorry .. but requesting access to ALL websites & ALL data, is a HUGE risk... its not something to be taken lightly! I don't know why/how developer(s) thought this could be a good idea!! The extension works only on OpenAI, ChatGPT domains and maybe Claude AI ... Using regular expressions, you can have "enough" access to these domains only (and their potential subdomains too) but that's it! Message to developer(s): We (users) cannot and should not trust you (or anyone) ... I'm not accusing you with anything... but saying something like: "rest assured that these permissions are only used to enhance user experience" does not help AT ALL! This is like asking me to give you the 4-digit PIN code for my credit card... but hey! "rest assured that its for a good cause! your privacy is important to me! " lol

All of a sudden it wants access to all data on all websites. It is not acceptable to take payment for a product that only wants access to one website which the customer agrees to, then it wants access to "all data on all websites" - sketchy. You operated in bad faith with this move, regardless of your explanation "I only want access to 3 websites". Roll it back and release a new separate extension if you want to do that - that's not what was agreed upon when you took payment.

The extention now requires you give it the ability to read and change all your data on all websites. The devs are apparently arguing that this is fine, but it isn't. I bought this tool to search through chatGPT, and now because of new features being added that I didn't need, I need to give the extentention a ridiculous level of permissions. Despite the fact that this just sucks in general, their argument is that they're trying to connect to a one other website aside from chatgpt, "https://claude.ai/*" ...But then ask for permissions from all sites. Couldn't you at least restrict it to the actual sites you "need"?

They download your conversations and sell them. Literally in their pricing options that you have to pay to have data security. The free version only lets you search a tiny bit, but they download all your conversations.

Did not work well with searches (could only search by conversation title, which oftentimes are not very helpful), and after a brief usage it forces you to pay if you want to keep using.

Purchased upgrade, (twice) and the tool still only searched the past 20 conversations. Basically unable to input purchased license. Useless at this point and filed claim for my money back.

It doesn't work. You can only search a handful of your most recent conversations, any more you have to pay.

The fact that you have to pay to search more than 20 conversations back is conveniently hidden away. What a waste of time.

Doesn't search more than your last 20 conversations without hitting a $10 paywall! There is NO mention of a paid model in the extension description. Slapping users with that after they download is shady and extremely lame. Be up front about your product.

Usefull plugin but: 1. Please add a waiting animatated icon, while searching (I believed the plugin wasn't searching for weeks!! then reset to try to make it return results!) 2. Uses super sketchy webstore Gumroad for the paid version. I wanted to pay for the better version and unlock the ability to search further back and any other extra features. PayPal started acting weird when I tried so I quickly changed my password just in case. Then I searched more about Gumroad. It's easy to find customer reviews that describe stolen credit cards. I do not feel comfortable ordering from this company. Please move the paid version to the Chrome Web Store. I realise that Google takes a bigger cut, but you raised the price anyway. It's no longer the $2.99 you used to charge for it. I was being asked to pay $5.99. Therefore you wouldn't really be missing out by switching to using this store for the paid version, and people can actually feel safe buying it. I'll also raise my rating afterwards. I wanted this for the sake of searching back far in time, but I can't test that because of Gumroad. So for now you get the low rating from me, sorry.

So disappointed that this extension can only search the titles of one's ChatGPT chats. It cannot search the content of each chat. It's kind of useless if you are looking for a keyword in the content of some long ago chat. :(

Glitching a lot. Whenever trying to open it. Loading (red backgroud) closes.

Does what its meant to do I guess, but a little annoyed it only lets me view 500 of my gemini chats :/ I'v been using gemini since it first came out and have significanly more than that so I really have no use for this extention

I would love to know exactly how much access to my data they have now that I've given them permission to log into my chatGPT account. Not to mention it's really buggy and has some odd quirks. My whole browser is kind of chuggy now that I've installed it. I don't know if it's caching data or what but all my tabs will Skip and stutter. Finally it's really annoying that it does quirky things like completely rebuilding an entire conversation if I'm halfway down a page and typing. All of a sudden I'm reading something and everything on the page disappears and then it Scrolls all the way back to the top on its own and then everything in the page rebuilds again like it's typing it fresh. Even just now I had it oddly hopping around from conversation to conversation it just randomly jump to a completely different chat from 2 days ago while I was working. And of course none of this happens when I turn off the add-on or uninstall it all the problems go away. I'll give it a day or two to see if it turns out but I don't like if it's reading and storing data on their end or they have any access to my GPT text other than simply searching and keeping the data local on my machine for my ACCESS only

The free version is pretty much useless. The history search is limited to returning 3 hits. Also, I'm suspicious of the stream of glowing reviews praising every aspect of it, including the support, security, clean design, etc. etc.

Why does the extension require access to "Authentication information"?? Superpower ChatGPT does not need this. BEWARE, To search more than 20 conversations, you have to subscribe...

After the update, the ad subscription window is frequently accessed while using chatgpt. Until the above bug is fixed, it is difficult to use...
