Pretty useless, by the time your work out how to use it, it stops working.

thsi is a very useful extension for me and i use it often, but lately i have updated both my chrome and extension and in the latest update there's a weird dark mode like thing in the text of extension windows. i dont know where did it come from but the white text in white background is almost unreadable

Forces you to connect a Google account, NO other option to sign up and therefore no way to use the extension if you don't have a Google account or you don't want to give a DATA MINING app direct access to your Google account (protip - don't do this). Needs the option to sign up with email/password or another option that doesn't link it to your Google account.

It offers 500 pages but when we start the sub-page scrape, it allows 3 crawls only. Weird tool

The free plan with 500 row limit only applies to simple row & column capture. The main useful feature - detail page crawl is now a paid feature - so can't even test out the tool. For the simple table capture you don't need DataMiner with a lot of manual steps - there are other free extensions that let you capture that data in few clicks including next pages without highlighting any element. There is a bit of a learning curve and the YouTube tutorials are useful. But unfortunately it is not worth investing the learning time when you can't test out the detail page crawl feature.

Won't even attempt to scrape the page I'm working on without a paid account. Why would I pay for an account when I can't even see if it can handle the data I need to scrape? At least show me you can handle pagination by scraping 3+ pages. Restrict me from saving the output. I support developers. I don't mind paying for their work. But to require payment before showing me that it works on the site I'm trying to scrape? That's just stupid. There are too many other options and Chrome makes it too easy to remove this one for that plan to work.

I have been using Dataminer since 2018. I was INCREDIBLY frustrated with the overhaul in version 5. I very, very much preferred version v3.299.72 because it was no frills, the point and click selection for recipes was simpler, there was no "this recipe does not work for this page" when I had literally just created a new recipe specifically for that page. I have no idea why everything that worked perfectly in the old version was gutted and made exceedingly inefficient. I was able to use v3.299.72 from the time of version 5's release until today (11/2/22). Unfortunately v3.299.72 stopped being able to connect to the server today and I can no longer install the old crx file due to an issue with chrome - ("CRX_HEADER_INVALID" when I try to install the package, and I am unable to find a source that lets me download the old crx file as a zip. I only need an extension that lets me select the containers in each row that need to be captured, and output it to an excel file, and v3 was perfect and fast for that. I could do this in one click and get on with my workload. Now I have to scroll through pages of recipes because there is no search box in the menu that pops up from the toolbar, I am only allowed to run a recipe if Dataminer thinks it will work for the page, I have to preview the data, I have to click run, I have to change a radio button to "append" if there are multiple pages instead of just clicking run again. What were the developers thinking??? V3 was something so beautifully simple, and v5 has missing functionality & way too many redundant, unnecessary options.

Advertised as simple, but You cannot just use it. Have to go through registratio/signup/email confirmals/sms mess. It simply Frustrating

Shameful waste of time. like playing a riddle, no page tells which site cannot be scraped with free plan. I tried it on Indeed, Paypal(my own payment history) ,Craigslist and other 3 sites. It works only on Craigslist. Most of the recipes on public do not work or have little value. I do not know if you have reviewed such recipes before going public. It wastes more time... I like your clean UI. Hope to be better and would like come back to update the rating.

All of the five star reviews for this extension are fake and were from a company that is paid to give five star reviews. The extension doesn't work on any major social media sites, and it is flagged as malware by windows. Don't touch it.

Hi, i try your product... well, you don't give me the opportunity of try your product, since i scrap indeed you made me upgrade without to really know how works, without offer any template or anything, you just do that because the website. That's ok, then you don't offer an option to create a new scrap AND then auto pagination, i have to lose 1 credit in every launch just because that bad option. But why I'm out and never going to use your service -i scrap hundreds of pages every month, i actually consume 1000 in 2 accounts in 36 hours-, is because you have this evil option where if i forgot to have and mistakenly i put a new scrap, you don't save my data, you don't advice anything, you just delete everything, star over and i lost my credits, that happen to me in both accounts but today i say enough, good look with your app.

I tried to use at my Paypal and it said that I had to pay, even if I have never actually tested any site. This is a scam and I am reporting abuse.

The free version is practically useless, unless you pay. They "upsell" you on everything. On top of all that, it's not easy to use. I do NOT recommend it. Avoid!

It was working fine before January 2021. But from February, they updated it and now it's not wokring. Please, fix the issues. I can't scrape Gooogle My Business.

The website says 500 credits for each month. But after the first month, the credit is always zero and push you to promote in each clickable linkes.... ugly. I will recommend Web Scraper, NoCoding Data Scraper, and Instant Data Scraper if the website does not declare its policy clearly.

If I were an expert already, I wouldn't need this tool. This is nearly impossible to use. In the time I spent trying to figure this out, I could have just cut and pasted the page I was trying to scrape.

They changed this app and made it extremely hard to use. I'll delete this review if they fix this or release a legacy version. Ridiculous. They moved the delete button to the main page (completely unnecessary). If you accidentally click it your entire work is gone. Wasted 45 minutes of my time.

Server issue (not working)

You would use this extension in order to save time, right? But it's interface is so complex that it actually wastes a lot of time. Here are the top pain points with this extension: 1) It uses JQuery selectors. - very few people use that. You need to learn JQuery selectors to use this. XPath would have been a better choice. 2) Extracting - let's say you want to extract URL / Text. I've fiddled around with this tool at various occasions and it's extremely difficult to define what exactly you want to extract. is it in the columns field? Or while selecting rows? Or some other place? I've tried columns and it keeps extracting from page#1 while pagination has scrolled to page# 10. 3) You spend about 20 minutes of the time trying to configure the script than actually extracting data. In that much time I could have just extracted the data on my own. This addon's idea is very good. but the UI is horrible and the JQuery selectors are a poor design choice.

Misleading description. It's stated that free version has only 500-page limitation but after installation it's turned out that it doesn't work for the popular websites like Zillow so you can't completely check the data execration quality. It should have been clearly mentioned in description.
