HyperChat [Improved YouTube Chat]

This extension fully changes how youtube chat looks, and all changes seem to be for the worst: - Removes avatars - Makes the text smaller and less readable - Adds alternating black and gray background to messages which is a good intention, but the gray is too bright, vibrates with green usernames and adds too much visual clutter and impairs readability - Chat messages are misaligned vertically within their background boxes, either up or down, always off center - Pressing chat function buttons such as "toggle timestamps" breaks the functionality outright. - Most important: No options to tweak the visual presentation of the chat. tldr very poor presentation and a direct visual downgrade to the original chat. I cannot in good conscience recommend this extension to anyone.

It did indeed heavily reduce CPU usage of the chat like it said, at the cost of making everything else about it considerably worse, with at the time I downloaded it, no way I could find to change any options anywhere. It definitely has potential if I could actually customize anything about it, but with a simple TamperMonkey script to hide the SC bar you basically get the same amount of CPU reduction with no loss in features compared to this extension that removes all function for only form.

the Chat are too slow

I am still seeing the YT chat blanking out whenever I try to watch a livestream, that more than likely means this isn't working either. I am seeing this memory crash on the YT tab during watching livestreams on every single browser i've used, I don't even think this is a fixable issue. This means I am most likely never going to be able to watch YT livestreams ever again without seeing a memory crash, and it makes me annoyed to see this is not able to be fixed no matter what is done to try and fix it. :(

It does make YouTube chat significantly less laggy but breaks a few other features. 1. You cannot delete your own comments 2. You cannot report other comments if the report has options (e.g. Harassment asks if the comment is harassing you or someone else) 3. You cannot get past the channel rule confirmation interface to actually comment if a channel has those. Issues 1 and 2 can be solved by temporarily disabling the extension but 3 apparently breaks things even if you disable it.

Works great, but can't retract my own message with this extension for some reason. Also, this extension does not work with other live chat extension like emotes.

please fix, if i write on gift subscription for ex. 5month or something the pop up not out.. it can be refresh the chat or the page

the extension works, for at least the " top chat ", the live chat however it does not. - when in live chat mode, no messages show up. please fix this bug, i can't use this extension unless i can fully use the chat.

Review for version 3.0.4 Auto translate still not working properly. Sometime working, sometime not working. I changed the rating to 3-stars. Review for version 2.6.8 It fixed but still buggy. Sometimes not active by default, must disable-enable Hyperchat. Rating increase to 4 stars. Review for version 2.3.1 Still not fixed. Review for version 2.3.0 Good update for translation but it translate wrong. I choose English but they translate Indonesian. Same with other languages.

The usage of CPU is lowered, but the most stupid thing — random chat freezing — still persists.

I like the extension because it makes the live chat bearable (which usually lags even on my pc despite it being quite a powerful pc), but as another reviewer said, the messages in the chat (yours and others') appear very late. I'm guessing this is to reduce CPU usage too, but it's really frustrating to be even 6-10 messages late compared to the streamer and the whole chat.

Nice extensions but i can't see my own messages in the YouTube Live Chat after i send them. I cant find links in chat to copy and paste back in chat or messages i want to delete.
