Doesn't work for Twitch VOD's
Error code 15
You can also do this with Google translate and just hold you phone over the chat... Utterly useless
Doesn't works ... just a waste of time ...
embeds into chat and nothing translates
Can't accept chat rules while this is enabled. Might be an interaction issue with ytcfilter, but rather use that. Especially when I can use ytcfilter to filter for en translations.
I click on it and it sends me to their download page. What?
How does it even work? Tried looking around and all I got was very confused. Doesn't look like it works anyways, don't bother installing.
Does not work
doesn't work
Doesn't work, I've tried changing every filter, JP, Korean streamers, no messages ever came up
This is useless. I've tried using it to watch Pekora and Botan yet no translations have ever come up. While this is useful, due to how few people ever translate the talent I watch, this add-on is completely and utterly useless.
The custom filters is the most broken piece of s**t i have ever seen. It chooses to work once in a blue moon i guess.
not work
I need to translate from Arab and this extension it doesn't have arab language as a translationsource (21/ago/2022)
doesn't work on twitch at all
while the bloating of the app seems to have gone down the bugs seem to have multiplied the app will now sometimes randomly crash showing that the stream has ended when it hasnt cause excessive buffering that does not show up with the app not running and sometimes force the stream to randomly reload the issue with the same TLs showing up two to three times has returned and some TLs despite being labelled correctly are still being missed by the app entirely
The reliance on hyperchat is the main issue. It states "it may take a few seconds for messages to start appearing" but takes over 60 seconds with an i7 & 32GB of RAM, meaning chat is always delayed by over a minute, making the extension unusable.
it doesn't work :(
I want to give this a better rating, but this extension is pretty much useless. No clear instructions by the Dev on how to use it, any that are provided are in jargon, ie "If there are no translators in chat", what the heck does that mean? What do you mean translator? The extension is supposed to be the translator! I read something that messages have to be prefixed with the country code, which is pointless because no messages have such a prefix. On top of that, the only message that even appear, though untranslated, are those made by the streamer/mod/another streamer. No messages from regular chat show at all. So again, what is the point? How is this useful for anyone trying to read the chat?
it didn't work
The liveTL part works well, but the Hyperchat part (which is installed alongside LiveTL and is thankfully not mandatory) is very disappointing. Hyperchat fully changes how youtube chat looks, and all changes seem to be for the worst: - Removes avatars - Makes the text smaller and less readable - Adds alternating black and gray background to messages which is a good intention, but the gray is too bright, vibrates with green usernames and adds too much visual clutter and impairs readability - Chat messages are misaligned vertically within their background boxes, either up or down, always off center - Pressing chat function buttons such as "toggle timestamps" breaks the functionality outright. - Most important: No options to tweak the visual presentation of the chat. tldr hyperchat has very poor presentation and is a direct visual downgrade to the original chat.
I must dislike it. In the new update, I can no longer watch streams in full screen and also open TL. Please fix it!!!!!!!!!!!
Had to rate 2 stars because it never get the chance to work. TLs from chat does not appear in LiveTL because they have [英訳/EN] in them instead of [en]. Suggestion: allow users to add they're own language tag. Apps like this that rely on user chat needs a lot of customisation.
"Read and change your data on studio.youtube.com" Why does it require such access now all of a sudden?
There's never any translations? I've been to multiple streams and nothing. Am I doing something wrong?
i mostly use this for the hyperchat extension, and while I apprecate the decreased CPU consumption, the alternating grey-white messages are really hard to read, and the blue mod names blend in with the grey so I tend to miss some messages from other vtubers or their mods
There's never any translators in HoloJP's chats so this extension is ultimately useless. But from what I can gather, this does what it says it does so.... Kudos. I guess.
Still feels early stages. Needs more refinement. TL box needs a proper way to separate between each line like alternate colours and more to be easily readable. There should also be a box that shows mod/other streamers and streamer chat separately since you can't notice some Hololive girls that pop into chat in a fast chat. This makes people prefer another extension that can do this.
I was able to understand Rushia
Im giving this three stars because the translation is done by real people which isn't a problem but what is a problem is having to wait for a translator. In all honesty it's good for patient people or people looking to practice Japaneese.
Why the translations are not coming out?
