Twitter Downloader - Twitter Video Downloader
Description
Reviews (2 cached)
Showed a pop-up asking for a review when I didn't even use it & manually downloaded by right clicking a picture. This is the first time I've seen an extension on a browser do those 3 things: A pop-up, asking for a review, & doing so after doing nothing.
it doesnt let us choose where to put downloads and automatically sorts them into a separate folder. i dont know why apps insist on doing this, because windows insists on putting said folder at the exact bottom of our downloads no matter how we sort it. i would be willing to bet that it is problematic to any operating system for you to put another downloads folder inside of the pre existing default downloads folder. this is supposed to be a one click style app, so why would you make us do so much extra work to find our files? it would be one thing if we were downloading directories of many gb at a time and wanted a zip file, but this format is not compressed, it's just inconvenient. editing later to add that this is way more inconvenient than i initially realized. other apps are now defaulting to that "twitter media" folder if i start uploading files from it, making it a huge headache to manage downloading and uploading files via any app. im uninstalling this, and to the dev: please grow a brain. the app clearly works, there is literally no excuse whatsoever for you to have the directory set to something so obtuse or for us to have zero options to change said setting. there is no way that downloading in this fashion takes you *less* work to design, so why did you spend time writing several pointless extra lines of code that makes every user also waste a bunch of added time? isnt the point of coding to make things more convenient for the end user, not less convenient?
