useless. does not read from the current subtitle, but starts from the start each time. if it even works that is. broken and needs fixing.
Settings are not memorized. Also, the text with subtitles will be read out, though, if the reading is delayed and the next subtitle is displayed, If the next subtitle is displayed after the reading is delayed, the previous subtitle will be skipped and not read out loud. It is not an AI, but simply reads out the currently displayed subtitles. If the reading is delayed, the reading will be skipped.
Needed a simple accessibility tool when I cannot stand the music in the background, especially as it gets distorted with changing speeds or is too loud & distracting, you have to log into your Google account to use the extension in your browser, why this is necessary I don't know because I've never had to for extensions that used to work before the Manifest update,so it seems unnecessary. Tools like these are handy when they actually work when there is no audio just a lot of subtitles to tell a story like somebody building a wood cabin, smelting iron... I tried their website (allows a preview with limited free credits) ,no luck there, multiple versions of the same voice talked over each other & fine grain speed was not there, couldn't get below 0.5 speed either. It did well at copying the Youtuber's voice (I didn't use the translate feature it was English to English)
works well but it will be on at all time be default. Meaning you turn it off to watch a video and when a new video starts it will be back on and you'll have to turn it off every single time.
The extensions is working but my native languages not working. 1.Urdu. 2.Punjabi. 3. Hindi Please fix them asap.
A significant number of voices labeled with feminine names in this extensive list are not women's voices. Approximately 90 percent of the Spanish voices I selected with women's names turned out to be men's voices, and this was the case for other languages I tried as well. It appears to be some sort of glitch. I wanted to bring this to your attention in hopes that it can be addressed promptly. Additionally, the voices seem to start and stop at random, no matter what I do. While the concept is excellent, the execution seems to fall short. Too bad, because this idea is really ingenious. During language studies, I sometimes wish I could replace the voice in the video with another more pleasant and less ridiculously affected one.
Translation is often cut/interrupted. Also it would be great it switched off by default and not switched on.
Why do I have the Ukrainian language on my 2021 MacBook and not on my 2015 MacBook?
Great extension, but to make it better, increase support for Microsoft Edge's natural voices, I would be grateful for this update.
