Thirty seconds in and I've discovered that it counts em-dashes as part of a word. These are punctuation marks that act like spaces or parentheses, and they do not combine words the way a hyphen would (too-sweet: one word; trying—desperately—to escape: four words, not two). Checked a piece with a known wordcount of 21,586. Going chapter by chapter, it gave totals that added to 21,356 -- off by 230 words. It also gave the following "longest words": something—anything—else almost—almost—broken disappears—but fate—inescapable dripping—[character's name] [occupation]—[character's name]—standing NONE of those are single words. They are two or three words and should not be counted as single words. This plugin needs a serious upgrade to be anything like reliable.
It only worked once.
wouldn't recommend.
poorest extension. not working
It doesn't work at all
Yet another context-menu-accessed counter. This one requires a right click, going to the tab, and then a left click. Cumbersome.. There are others that do it easier. It has the non-standard feature of stating the longest word.
