unfortunately, only hides the AI and doesn't block the search so the effect is the same :((((
Does not work.
The tool hides the ai overview from the google search, but it doesn't bring back what the ai overview replaced: the featured snippet (the box containing info about the search that appeared before ai overviews were a thing). This is the main reason why I'm searching for an ai remover in the first place. Additionally, I'm pretty sure google still *generates* the overview, and the extension only hides it. So, if environmental impact is a concern, this would not be for you.
I hate this because Google AI was my dog
Doesn't work on Opera GX
does not work
I don't know, maybe I am doing something wrong on my end but it doesn't work for me
This broke Google Shopping search. Yuck.
way too complicated
I tried everything. I followed all of the instructions carefully and it simply would not work for me.
does not fkn work
Doesn't work anymore
It's simple: it's not working.
Doesn't work
not work
Not working. English, Denmark. Brave w/ Google chrome SE.
didn't work
Not working at all :( (maybe Im not at English Google?)
Fix it because AI will go through it also Youtube is being very aggressive to adblockers so clearly they're anti-consumerism now
It worked for the past month but today I did a search and still saw an AI overview, just not as the first result. How cheap if it only works when the AI overview is the first result.
doesnt works
Not working.
doesn't work :(
Why doesn't work ?!
This doesn't work at all. I searched for Adam Duritz in Google, to see how it looks before. Installed the extension and closed the browser, and came back, and searched for Adam Duritz in Google again, and everything looks exactly the same. I usually use DuckDuckGo, but lately that has not been helpful at all, so I have been using Google Search more and more frequently. Strangely, the AI overview is saying nothing about Adam Duritz being Jewish. But AI isn't known for its truthfulness, so not entirely surprising. I guess I will have to erase the extension, since it didn't do anything.
Does not work as of 21.04.2025, freshly after updating the browser (135.0.7049.96).
Does not work
Don't worked didn't block AI Overviews, Outdated last updated June 2024
Doesn't work
Doesn't work.
Doesn't work at all; does read all your data. Have reported it.
hate to do ya with the star but like the other extension it just doesn't work on opera gx
The extension sometimes causes all Google search results to disappear. Disabling the extension immediately fixes this.
nope, didn't work
This trash also doesn't work 100% the time, just sometimes
Great idea but does NOT work as of july 2025
it doesn't work for me
it works. after one second showing AI overview.
Honestly the AI overview still pops up for a second and then disappears, so the damage is already done. However the 'w + spacebar' shortcut makes this worthwhile to me. Having that search using only the web tab is well worth it.
Good idea, but doesn't work on Kiwi Browser.
i love this, it works perfectly on chrome but not on opera gx. why is that? could you (the dev) please make a workaround for this?
Does not remove *AI Mode* from the search bar
It doesnt work for me - using this in opera
Almost perfect but the AI overview shows up for a second and is then removed. That's almost as annoying.
Hides main AI overview but does not hide things like "People also ask" section, which is an advertised feature
I already use Google's Web Tab with w + space for something else. I don't know why this extension hijacked my keyboard shortcuts. There's a lot to like about this extension, but I had to uninstall it. It shouldn't override user defined shortcuts without any option or warning.
Google have broken something that this AddOn relied on, so at the moment it doesn't work. Hopefully the author will fix it soon so that the slop becomes invisible again
Where's the source? I ask because I hope this is not blocking dynamically-generated-at-static-content-build-time CSS class names like GcKpu -- the Options/Settings imply it may be, but I would like to see for myself. Edit: put it up on GitHub, I'm not going to Email you. Don't be weird!
