Chrome Capture - Screenshot & GIF

This extension is quite risky. Cannot completely delete your screenshots if you didn't have the premium account.

NOT A GOOD ONE. I explain WHY: often, while screen capturing a video, i go in the directory folder and delete the files i don't need. This extension gives every file name a date (01/12/2025) and a number (72). And also what this extension does is overriting all the forthcoming screen captures over the Number that is actually deleted [!!!!]. So now i have my screen captures all messed up in the order! DELETING this for sure. Truly disappointed by this performance. I wish they changed this. It's a 'Next time' for me, plus my one star rating. I REALLY loved the variety of tools this extension has, although. I won't need it like this.

App forgot that I already bought a premium and reset it to zero (I'm logged in Chrome), now I'm on free plan again, very frustrating

This used to be a great app, but now it won't allow you to record anymore. You can still use it for screen shots, but not for recording.

cropping tool doesn't work I can't resizing

Is nothing like Microsoft Edges web capture. Is not worth your time if you have to do multiple web captures. Because you have to go back and edit in a separate editer. Edge i put my box around wat i want and copy. Saves a good 3 to 5 minutes every capture. This extension is garbage in my opinion. Does not work for me

In the previous versions, we had the possibility to edit the record by deleting frames but now its a premium feature. Bye !

What an absolute trash extension. I uninstalled it in 2 min as the quality is terrible and it's not free at all basically. I had to reinstall it in order to write this review, which tells you how much I hated this thing.

Doesn't work well for GIF capture of a screen.

Wanted this to work but doesn't for me. 1. Installed the app 2. Use the cursor to define the screen area for capture 3. Clicked the movie camera icon 4. Nothing happened 5. Refreshed the page, nothing happened after trying steps 1-4 again. 6. Clicked around a bunch more and tried a variety of things to make it work, nothing happened. 7. Wrote this review.

There appears to be no way to actually save the gif. There are four icons: image capture, start/stop recording, options, and close. None of these will download the gif.

Poor quality and too many "premium" options .. not worth anything

Worse work with gif and so so with picture.

absolutely useless. There's no instructions on how or where your file saves just, "close the crop tool". It says the app crashed every time I close out of it after trying to record. Don't waste your time downloading the garbage app

The mouse cursor can not be used to interact with browser onec the recording is ON.

Tried to choose my recording selection didn't realize it was actually recording and it saved a webm file. I couldn't interact with the website I was trying to record at all. What's the point of this?

Not easy to use and not clear with instructions in terms of toggling between modes. Even after doing so, not clear on how to start or end recording.

no way to change font. very limited. so many better options out there. simply is not worth having on your pc.

Good but produces very big files, then it asks you for money to optimize. So not free.

I just cant seem to get the GIFS play for my IG stories, social media. why is this?!?

It worked well for a while, but I've noticed lately that it's starting slowing down the speed of the video in the gif. So, for instance, if I make a gif from a YouTube video, the gif will be at like half-speed even though the YouTube video was running at normal speed. And, of course, the ability to speed up the gif in chrome capture is behind a paywall. Gross.

This extension does not survive clicking on the link! Or am I missing something? When I click on the link recording ends. This is unusable...

I wanted to snap the entire webpage. When I found the function, the resulting image was such poor quality, I could only delete it and find another extension. Perhaps I didn't choose the right option? But the image should save in decent quality automatically. Very disappointed.

The extention saves huge file eventhough i clicked the optimize button.

It's pretty good, The only thing that makes it unusable is the big black border, making the "start recording" button unreachable at the bottom of the screen. Thinner borders + keyboard shortcuts could solve that.

Tried many gif capture plugins, just found this one is even worse than those free plugins. I even cannot control the webpage when capturing it. Other free plugins can allow controlling the webpage and provide higher fps and quality gif output. So, why using this plugin?

Seems kind of buggy -- file just doesn't open after recording is finished.
