Image downloader - Imageye

On the website they claim it "works everywhere". Well, it doesn't. On the latest stable version of Vivaldi Browser (7.5.3735.47, Stable channel, 64-bit) it doesn't work at all. Instead of a working popup, it opens a completely empty page on the browser's sidebar.

Nothing happens when I click the icon in the toolbar. Some times it decides to create a blank page in the panels. (Latest version of Vivaldi)

I noticed some funky things when I visited Amazon. Turns out it redirects Amazon links through affiliate tracking without disclosure. Internal navigation like “Orders” was hijacked until the extension was removed. Not acceptable behavior.

There are two extensions named Image Downloader, this one and another; they're the same, with a different color icon but the same design. The interface is the same, the way they work is the same. Neither one can actually properly extract images. It just brings up glitchy borders and emojis instead of the pictures on the page.

On some websites protected by Cloudflare (during the verification that you are human), it doesn't work correctly, failing to locate some images.

If you go to a site like Artstation post and click to save the images will have a bunch of duplicates with different sizes for the same image. Why can't we just download what actually appears on the screen?

Extension was nice until the recent update where it now injects ads into the sidebar, this is NOT disclosed on the chrome webpage anywhere.

Doesn't work on some sites it used to after update and now there are ads built in. Feels horribly invasive. It was great for many years, but now I am looking for a replacement.

Does not work in private windows, even when set to allow. Did not download the original images, it compressed them to absolute hell.

This extension modifies website URLs without clear disclosure. I noticed it automatically adds affiliate tracking codes to sites. This happens without my consent and wasn't explained during installation. I don't receive any benefits from these affiliate links, so it feels deceptive.

Didn't work well for me for downloading nursery pictures. I now use Nursery Downloader (which seems to be built specifically for that purpose) Helped my with downloading pictures of the kiddos at ParentZone. Following the update on May 28th, the downloaded image files are now smaller in size compared to the original files.

It just doesn't work? Even on the example page they link, the extension just sits there "Searching images..." and nothing shows up.

it does its job well, but it completely broke my google search page. it only shows ads in the first 5-6 rows and I couldn't find what I was looking for. although I like the plugin, I had to remove it.

Doesn't do a dang thing except freeze the tab up.

If you ask me if I like your app while I'm in the middle of using it you get a 1. You only get a 1 because I can't give you a zero.

Great extension but it doesnot work on Vivaldi (work fine on Edge). The side panel is white blank....

Doesn't actually download a Facebook album, it actually downloads the smaller cropped thumbnails.

Doesn't seem to recognise most the images on a page anymore. For example, let's say there are 11 images on a tumblr page, it'll only recognise like 5 of them, and no amount of refreshing seems to help.

Can't use

This is a thumbnail downloader not a image downloader. It try to download the thumbnail or small images already loaded in the webpage, not the full resolution images. It's a useless app, unless you actually want to download the thumbnails.

sometime this extension does not work please find and fix this bug

Was a very useful image extension, now - utterly useless. Saves compressed images with no option to make it download full size. Erases metadata.

cant work on multiple pages

Causing chrome browser crashes on my M2 macbook

It was an excellent extension. I was even able to get the original image from a website. Now, in addition to having lost this ability (it get only the thumbnails now), it also doesn't get all the images on the pages [it scans all the images from a page but it doesn't find them all... (How is that even possible? This has never been a problem before!)]. Please, please, bring the old version back! That one that worked perfectly fine on all websites and allowed us to download even the original images!

Is this only for social media websites? Should mention in the title. Did not do a thing.

It downloads duplicates. Theres no way to sort out duplicates and it doesnt allow to scan the whole page without zooming out (It doesnt scan images not on the screen) and it doesn't continuously scan while scrolling, hence the zoom out. Then when its on zoom out, it duplicates the images. Had 258 images only, it detected 1002. Theres no way to sort or filet it properly. Not good for pinterest boards

It freezes Vivaldi at start. If I disable this extension Vivaldi turns right.

Doesn't work with Vivaldi browser at all. It used to but it stopped and you can't even click on it. In Edge it works but doesn't show any images.
