"Sign up an account to edit links", then "Your trial ends in 4 days. Please subscribe to activate your account." Nope, not another scum.
just felt like deleting all my shortened links :) it sucks
They say it's free, it's The "Extension" is free, but you have to pay to use it after week trial is over. Typical bait and switch. Ashok Kumar created URL shortening extensions for Chrome and Firefox that use is.gd. go to is.gd click software option.
poor
It seem from unlimited, and do no how, i press edit become "Trial" mode. And all after trial ended all can't be use, asking to pay. Wth?
very bad experience
Only after registration is it offered to you, costs 10 euros per month, trial period ends in 4 days. I'm definitely not going to pay 10 euros for 1-3 URL shortenings per month.
Being forced to start a premium plan in order to use the 2 links I created. Not reccomended, better bit.ly: 10 free short links every month.
T.LY doesn't appear to allow third parties access to their system, while other services do, so this "official" T.LY extension is the only one. Just now, T.LY's site started forcing me from a barebones Free acct to a $10+/mo paid account. Forcing free users into paid plans isn't something I'll abide, so ditching this extension and service.
TRIAL (4 days only) NOT FREE
You must pay to use it. They give only trial for 4 days and didnt tell you about trial before they take your data from registering!
Gives you a 4-day trial then requires a paid subscription to continue use. That's fine, IF you tell a user UP FRONT. They hide it and require you to create an account (and collect your data) before you know about it.
It's no longer working :( It was so good in the past. :(
Yes it does require requires an API key I have moved to lynxshort.com and its 100% free
Forces you to register to T.LY even if you want to use bit.ly only. That's a no-go - DELETED.
Useless - Does nothing , one has to open a new link everytime one needs a shortcut rather than creating shortcuts every time we feed a link - for which it does nothing except ask lame geeky questions
The shortened URL is super long!
does not work
Do Not Install,They HAVE limted Time That You Can Shorten !
oh my god not again, im not sure what i did but i copied the link it shortened and it literally took me to a porn website, i swear theres so many of these and now my history is mudded up, gee thanks devs, hope you go die
Terrible, doesn't work! Keeps saying, "failed to shorten", and then demands that I acquire an "T.LY API key" because I've hit an extension limit. I'm not using T.LY and it doesn't matter which other URL shortening service I use, it keeps saying that, and it keeps saying that regardless of which other URL shortener I save as default. Then it keeps popping tabs open in my browser to the T.LY website demanding that I register with them. I'm not even using their service. MESSAGE TO DEVELOPER: fix this, or at least get rid of T.LY service altogether.
Link expires!
- All around GREAT plugin loved using it! worth a 5* for the couple of days I used it for. - The HUGE RED FLAG is when trial starts on it's own as soon as you create and account and you get offered to pay or lose your progress. - At least let me keep the links I have already made. Now instead of thinking if it's worth I have to search a free option and transfer all my links there and never consider or recomend this plugin.
It is my first try, I think it will be fruitful for me
The fee is high, I paid for a month to use custom link but after the trial, they ended my link. I think the way they charge is too high
Was great, now everything requires an API key
It started good and then went crazy when I customized it. Throwing error messages that's all.
Would be useful if it didn't automatically copy the shortened URL before I could paste the alternate destination in.
T.LY links created are all returning a 500 server error when clicking on each link.
shorten has failed it was work good b4
This usually excellent addon is not working correctly following Chrome 143 update. Using this current extension v 2.1.5 - there is nothing appearing in the R-click Context Menu, even though the option is ticked. I uninstalled/re-installed and it still does not appear in the menu.
it's pretty good honestly. it's quite useful, but the thing is once i have made a certain amount of shortened links, it'll say something like failed to shorten and then automatically take me to some website. there, you can have a free 4 day trial and you can make more short links. then after 4 days when my trial ended, the links no longer worked unless i wanted to pay for a subscription. never gonna do that obviously. so once i make a certain amount of links, i need to wait till like the next day to make more which is super annoying.
This one is really good but the lack of special characters support is a showstopper for me. It doesn't save foreign language characters.
I was very happy with this URL shortener... for a while. But, now I keep getting an error message. Google also wouldn't let me use the shortened URL (said it was suspicious) but when I tried to change the default from is.gd to something else, despite saving the change, it continues to use is.gd and trigger an error message. Tim, can you help me figure out what is going on?
