Description

Split-View Account Assistant helps you manage multiple accounts side-by-side in Chrome by providing a pane-aware virtual storage API for compatible websites. This extension does NOT isolate browser cookies or modify Chrome’s built-in storage APIs. Instead, it offers an additional, session-scoped storage area that sites can optionally use to keep pane-specific data when working in split-view layouts. Key features: • Manually assign tabs to Left or Right panes • Enable virtual storage on a per-site basis with explicit permission • Provide a pane-aware storage API (window.splitViewStorage) for compatible sites • Clear virtual storage data per pane • Optionally clear site cookies and data for your current Chrome profile (user-initiated) • Visual pane indicator badge (optional, disabled by default) Important notes: • This extension does not modify website cookies, login behavior, or built-in browser storage APIs • Cookie clearing affects all tabs for a site in your current Chrome profile • Virtual storage data is stored using Chrome’s session storage and is cleared when the browser session ends • Only sites that explicitly use the splitViewStorage API can take advantage of pane-specific storage All data is stored locally in your browser. No data is collected or transmitted externally.
