Doesn't work at all. Get error "Some operations are taking longer than expected". Can't access anything on SMB. Uninstalled.

Refuses to reconnect to SMB share when waking up chromebook.

Pixelbook. It doesn't connect to my SMB drive.

It did not work at all, no matter I have tried, it also not able to collect any errors.

Managed to get it to connect to a shared folder, but whenever I try to view any files This chromebook just says "some operations are taking longer than expected". It never actually opens the file. I hate network problems....

App is garbage and support for it is non existent

The images are blown up and thus I cannot see the buttons at the bottom of the app

Works for a minute or two after reboot, then won't display folder contents or transfer files.

How to use it?

Doesn't work. Tried on several different machines. Connects to server and you can browse files but when you try and read or copy one, you get 103 unknown error and then "some operations taking longer than expected." Never does read from it.

it was worse then you thought not working not a good thing because it set a virus on my laptop it i could rate it 0 stars that would be good so FIX THE FREAKING THING

this used to work for me but not its been renamed from smb to windows and they added the domain name but i have no idea what that is. my network isnt part of a domain.

doesn't give any idea of what details to put in or where to find them - probably great for a real techy who knows what all the terms mean but for a general user it is no use at all. guess-guess-guess , search online and then give upb in frustration!

This simply doesn't work. I technically can access the file share. I see a list of files, but if I want to access them it just times out.

Not functional at all for me. Lists shares and I can connect to one but can never copy files. Just constant "an operation is taking longer than expected" warnings. I've tried changing the max protocol version to SMB1/CIFS and the LMCompatibilityLevel but that didn't help.

As soon as it mounts the drive, it crashes. Never actually shows any content. Tried with Win7 and WD MyBookLive. USing Acer Chromebook

EDIT: Version 2.3.1 still does not fix the access denied error. :( I am so sad that version 2 still does not work with our Windows servers here on campus. I have tried to connect to anything from Windows Server 2000 all the way up to Windows Server 2012. This would make my Chromebook the ultimate tool for work if I could get this to work. :( I still get the NT ACCESS DENIED error and a new incorrect parameter error on a 2012 server I tested.

I would love to use this extension but it doesn't work with my Apple AirPort Time Capsule. The app gives an "Extended security not supported" error when I try to mount the Time Capsule and there's no option to disable extended security. I'll update my rating if support is added in the future.

Tried all possible configurations on this app for the Seagate PersonalCloud using Samba and this app will not allow me to add/delete/remane/move/copy etc. on my Samba server.

I've used this app for a few years - and it's always been a touch temperamental, going through periods where it wouldn't work and then mysteriously - it would. But I've not been able to get it to work for a few months or so. I double checked the local ip address of the shared directories, and I've tinkered with the login credentials and other settings, but no matter what I try it just won't connect. I've had somewhat better luck with Chrome OS's new native "network file shares" thingy, but it doesn't save the settings and keeps asking me to re-enter my user name and password every 5 minutes...

A bit disappointed. I have multiple Windows machines, plus a pair of SMB NAS devices. Everything can be seen from the other systems, including from my Android devices, but this app fails to find anything. It ought to be able to at least match Android systems.

It will connect to the university multidrive, but cannot display files.
