Fluff Busting Purity

Brought Facebook to a complete stall, it took over 20 seconds to load main feed and it was only loading one post at a time. From the settings it looked detailed and extensive to use, not worth the effort learning any of it if it's going to cause Facebook to come to a complete grinding halt. If it's a doomscrolling prevention app, sure works great by making the site unbearable to use. 128gb of ram and it still caused chrome to run slower than all hell.

Your fix has stopped working again.

This application doesn't work at all. It never has for me on my M2 MacBook Pro 16 inch laptop. It's a waste of time doesn't even work. I do not recommend this application at all.

Is there no way to get rid of the "follow" pages that take up half my feed and homepage?

Didn't work. Reels disabled? No. Suggested groups disabled? No. Sponsored ads disabled? No. None of it worked. I refreshed, started a new browser. Just didn't work. Developer responds to negative reviews with "Yes it does work. Read our site" blah blah blah. No, it doesn't work. Nothing I blocked was actually blocked. Either the extension works or doesn't work. I'm not interested in extensions where I have go to a website and follow explicit instructions to make something that should automatically work when I install it functional.

It was working perfectly untill recently. 1 star to hopefully get attention of the developer to at least give us some insight on whats happening. It deserves 5 stars when it works

Was working perfectly, and it seems the latest update I had today required extra permissions (which I allowed) but has made it stop working.. I don't see how I can roll back to the older (working) version.

I was never able to install it on my laptop. It just kept sending me around and around!

Not working again

I used this for quite some time. For some reason, no matter what I do now, I can't turn off the Sponsored posts. I've followed the instructions. They aren't working for me. I want to continue to use this and recommend it, but it's not doing much of anything for me anymore.

Yeah, this is not only not 100%, every single time I log into FB, my page has a Group post front and center. I am not following the group, have all highlights and preferences in the group itself properly checked, and have diligently gone through each category and subcategory on FBP and everything checks out. I have everything, including group posts, blocked. These Group posts weren't an issue before adding FBPurity to Chrome. I added it for a completely different reason to get rid of the constant Reels & Shorts and People You May Know. Those are gone, but the trade off is getting these annoying Group posts which FBPurity isn't stopping. The only way to overcome this is by Unjoining the group which isn't my objective. Flawed Busting Purity needs a lot of refinement to work properly.

Update: On March 30th I decided to give it another try, but it still doesn't block sponsored posts. The one thing I want it to do, and what it claims it does. Original review: Just doesn't work I am still getting a timeline filled with sponsored posts. Hiding sponsored posts may just be one of it's features, but it's the only one I was interested in. According to the news post on your site, and the FB link, it's been nearly 20 weeks since it's worked correctly. So saying that this just stopped working as intended isn't seeming very truthful. Your description say "Fluff Busting Purity hides all the ads, game spam, sponsored posts and other annoying stuff on Facebook and generally makes Facebook less annoying to use." So telling me that not doing any of that, except maybe the game posts is ok, doesn't make much sense.

this used to work wonderfully, I just wanted something to stop FB from suggesting people when I type words and this although bloated with other unneeded stuff did the job. However now I have to constantly reset this. it is always on but it never works till I turn it off and on again then it works for a couple hours. It is just too much work

Does this even work? Still seeing a LOT of "Suggested for you" trash despite checking the Hide box next to "Sponsored Box / Posts" and saving it.

Makes Fb super slow and bug the UI.

Does not block any advertisements. Maybe it worked in the past. Best way to block FB adds is to delete FB.

Don't bother. It doesn't do anything, It can't even block images/pics even though you select it to do so. Who knows, it could even be collecting your info.

WTH is going on with my FB Purity? There are days I have to add no less than 30 unwanted sites on FBP and they are still appearing on a daily basis. I am so close to getting rid of FB altogether if this is not corrected soon. Wasting a lot of time hiding or deleting posts from Steve on Watch, Entertainment Tonight, Tattoo Page, ABC 20/20. Why are these sites continuing to show up on my page when I have over 20 sites listed that should not be shown?!!

Sadly not working at all at the current time. I still see ads and sponsored post in facebook video. Size ads are removed by another ads blocker. Not this one. I am on latest Chrome version and the "new" facebook. I will update my review once it is working again as developper noted that they are working on it.

Facebook just killed Oldlayout extension :( So I added FBP because my husband liked it. It DOES NOT revert back to the Old FB layout when box ticked. I removed and reinstalled. NO GO. Running Chrome with Windows 8.1 Very sad. New FB layout sucks for PC users.

It doesn't block 'People You May Know' regardless of how many times you tick the box, un-tick, then re-tick. People I don't know and don't want to know keep appearing, over 2000 a week.

It isn't doing a darn thing to block ads anymore. It used to work, not anymore.

Great idea, but spams you and sends popups asking for donations. I added this extension because I didn't want intrusive ads, not because I want intrusive ads from you. Removed, hoping someone with better ethics creates a similar extension.

FB purity has aggressively ignored my settings to the point i finally began blocking friends because while i had to "notify of closed accounts" turned off, they still would notify. relentlessly, several times a day bogus notices of just that. the friends would be blocked yet these slime bugged the devil out of me. i removed it. had no choice.

A major flaw is when you click 'Share' and the popup comes up...unless you 'Share Now' it just disappears. How to fix this?

I see it is on in my extension but I do not see it. Where is it located? I'm ready to remove it as I do not see it working on Facebook. I have HP, W7 and updated Chrome.
