"Repeat" button (the recurring task icon) does not appear in the date/time picker.
the search feature searches only in title and not in the task description. if you open the date field of the task and do not change anything, as soon as you exit the field the date it is automatically updated to today !! and you lose your original date!! and finally you can't set the alarm or other task attributes like color.
Cant add any time for the reminder.
Very little to no advantage. It allows a full screen view of completed tasks without any details. It doesn't show upcoming tasks or complete details of a given task. Basically, it is useless!!!
It shows authentication error, can someone authenticate and use the app?
This would be perfect if you could get rid of the columns and just use the tasks list. I have no use for the left column or the right column.
Dark mode is Emerald Green. Who thought this was a good idea? Disgusting. Uninstalled.
Another example, among many, of Google falling flat on its' face. NONE of my Google tasks that are created within Docs show up in the plugin or any other Google-compatible task app. Keep staring in the mirror, Google, you ARE awesome!
If you edit current tasks with time then app will delete that time
This program is too simple. Microsoft To do is more easier to use comparing to this program. I hope chrome benchmark more about the other program such as To do.
Doesn't load the page for some reason. It's stuck at the logo flashing but doesn't proceed.
Used to be good, but now ruined by going to a payware model as of January 2022. Skip this app, go for another.
I have two lists. OK I GET IT you want me to pay If I want to use more than one list. But why do you have to swap the "free list" and the blocked list every few days?? Just let me choose which list to use.
Application used to work well until developer asked for payment. After the payment deadline the application just started failing.
Very Disappointed. We are using app sudden all other Pages locked and only one page is showing and i can only manage that page. Pop up is asking to purchase. Its not good thing. When you got good points now you are coming with purchase. Its not Good.
great until they added a 1 list maximum. Now you'll see this app get replaced. Sucks to suck
I absolutely love having access to my Google Tasks from my phone, and and interact with it on my computer. However, I recently received a pop-up on my pc google tasks saying that because im within the top 10% of most active users on the platform, that I will be forced to purchase the premium membership while the others outside of this 10% will continue to have free access to this service. Not only does it also mention that the premium membership will not add any extra features, if I do not follow through and purchase the membership then some features will be REMOVED. I understand that you have to make money somehow, but why are your loyal users being targeted as if blackmailed or something. Its an unfair and rather stupid method of earning income on your app. Keep it equal for all users, and maybe offer some features along with the membership, because after all, all you are providing is PC access to another company's (Google) free service. Depending on how the memberships are rolled out, I think i'd prefer returning to using solely the mobile app until a competitor or google themselves provides this service for free, as it should be...
Why every time I open the app, it's always says your connection is slow? i have no problem with the connection. even the notification (internet connection) dissapeared, My list task doesnt appear
Doesn't work on chromium browser
I know it is a pipe dream, but I'm hoping this rating will get somebody's attention. The extension itself is nice, but with a few major problems. In lieu of a way to submit bug reports/receive support, you're pointed to their "Google group" where, upon joining, you are restricted from posting to the group! Cool cool cool. Anyway, it's very frustrating that you can't delete tasks; only mark them complete. There is a setting to be able to manually delete tasks, but the instructions for doing this indicate a vertical triple-dot menu in each task. This menu doesn't exist. For those of us who live and die by google tasks, it's frustrating. Again, the biggest irritation here is not being able to submit bug reports due to being directed to a group you're not allowed to post in.
It is to easy to delete a task. Should be able to retrieve task after accidently deleted. Should be able to retrieve for at least 7 days.
It doesn't work for me, even though I'm logged onto Google, (Chrome and Gmail) it only offers me the option of my husband. Uninstalling, unfortunately.
PLEASE CHANGE THE DARK MODE TO GRAYSCALE! (or provide an option) I love the extension, but I can't stand the BLUE GREEN tint in the dark mode. I want to give it five stars, but I need your attention, so I'm giving it 1. Please give me gray mode.
It seems it doesn't work in incognito. Whenever I click the Tasks icon in my top right corner, a separate window pops up (very inconvenient!), and when I click on "Sign in to Google Tasks" a notice shows up: "Didn't log in: The user turned off browser signin. Did you close the authorization window without giving permission? Try again, and make sure to sign in in the popup window. If this error happens repeatedly, please report it by clicking the ⚙ button." NB: I am already signed in to my gmail and Google account. But there is no way to log in to this Tasks extension, and therefore I cannot use it. Should I log in to my browser? (that means this doesn't work on incognito). I have done that and it keeps showing the same error message.
Strips out the times of existing tasks - not chuffed at all :(
Keep logging me out, then requires full authentication again to log in. Extremely annoying and unusable.
Can't login
If I save an email as a task, that email might completely disappear b/c it doesn't actually turn the email into an attachment. So I have had many tasks months into the future (which is why I needed to create a task in the first place) and when the time came to do it, the email could no longer be accessed. Also no reminders available. Functionality is just simply not robust.
This review is for the Chrome extension; as far as I can tell it has a much reduced feature set than the Andriod version. For example it doesn't seem possible to enter tasks that repeat.
Potentially very useful, since Google made the poor decision to limit the task list to a tiny sidebar. The dark mode of this extension is, unfortunately, a strange, distracting, teal color instead of a more suitable black or gray and can not be customized, making me avoid using it.
I think it has potential, but has issues. I can't change the font. It doesn't sync with my phone app (tasks). I can't see much on it. It is hard to re-organize tasks. It is not that user friendly. I have a lot of suggestions for making it better.

It's good. But the service is expensive in other countries where the exchange rate for the dollar is high (as in the case of Brazil). Furthermore, the application does not support the “starred” list.
The app doesn't mirror current functionality in the google tasks app. It doesn't show starred lists. So if you use that feature of the tasks app then your in trouble.
OK, not great... you cannot 1/ set repeat reminders as you can on Tasks on Gmail or on your phone 2/ cannot view completed tasks, so you can undo one that you clicked by mistake. Dark mode is an ugly COLOUR. It should be colourless dark grey!!
Seems like a well made app, brings back a lot of the functionality Google Tasks had years ago before Google changed it. Unfortunately you can only look at ONE list unless you want to cough up $20, which is pretty ridiculous amount of money for such a simple app.
It should be so simple to drag a task to another list. But no, it takes several steps, and the process just doesn't work. I deeply loathe the way Google makes halfhearted efforts to develop tools, makes one to some extent dependent on them, and then gives up and goes home before they become truly useful. You know, Google Glass, Google Plus, all the rest of it. Innovation as masturbation. And commitment to a community--well, can you say "Afghanistan"? We don't pay Google, Google uses us, like a Vampire.
The extension is missing a "Repeat" button, which exists on the Android app and the email sidebar. This is a critical omission. Thx
No longer free. The app is nice, but only slightly more convenient than using Google Tasks. $20 is a ridiculous price.
Had given it 5 stars but the developer started charging. I don't mind paying a reasonable price but after all this is just an extension. Google tasks does all the heavy lifting and determines all the functionality (or lack thereof) while this just allows it to be viewed nicely on a PC / full screen. There are many full function todo apps like Toodledo or Todoist that offer things like priority, tags, folders, context, location, status, star etc. Trouble is Google Tasks has great integration with Gmail and Calendar and this is a great looking app that makes google task palatable on a PC. But not at this price.
Great idea but it still needs a lot of work. Needs to improve on visual. Tasks usually consist of Heading, sub heading and task. A a 1 2 b 1 2 3 B Only 2 indents possible. Would be good to move a task to a different date. Calendar would be good Repeat task option would be good Task done for September, repeat task for October add to October list.
Does not display tasks in same order as in my Android Google Tasks app. On my phone I have Google Tasks in ascending date order. Here I only see them in a semi-random date order. Uninstalled.
Installed, clicked login to google tasks, waited.. waited.. waited.. trying to load login screen!!! Why do I need to login to Google Tasks anyway?! I'm already logged into my Google account with Chrome! Can't use something that I can't login to! Updated: FINALLY got the login screen! (Still not sure why I need to log in when I'm already logged in to my Google account through Chrome.) HOWEVER, why can't I see my entire task list? It only shows me items that are still to be done today or tomorrow. Doesn't show what tasks repeat and what the frequency is. Doesn't have option to include tasks I already completed with tasks still outstanding. Can't send/print a complete (all tasks in a list) task list. Functionality isn't that different than what is in the native Task list. Unless I'm missing something in the options this app is half-baked and lends no efficiencies.
Just doesn't work. I tried to use it over and over but it gets stuck on the "logging in" screen. When it does connect, it kicks me out after 5 minutes. Don't waste your time.
Can't specify repeating tasks so the app is useless to me. This is kind of baseline feature of Task apps.
Has the same UX problem as default Google tasks app: Moves completed items to a separate list, requiring extra clicks to view them, no option for it not to have this behavior. This is a deal breaker for me, needed to remove.
Great addition to google Calender and Keep but i miss one crutial funktion. The ability to see and change repetition of tasks when i search for a given task. Since the search funktion is not available on Tasks in Calender directly, this would certantly help. Thanks
Would like the ability to add time to do task and have tasks listed in the time order for the day. I use Google Tasks intensively and I LOVE that this extension gives me the ability to enter them on a full page layout.
Pros: ironclad in not mis-organizing my tasks and not having tasks mysteriously vanish or disappear (like I've had happen in other apps), it's reliable and consistent. Cons: It feels uncomfortable in that there is no drag and drop system to reorganize task to other lists. And there's a bunch of neat hotkey shortcuts that seem necessary to fully utilize the extension, but they seem inconsistent in their reliability and intuitiveness.
# Paywalled Normal Functionality -- Good App Prior This would be 4 or 5 stars if I wasn't -- without any warning I had seen -- shown a "upgrade or you can't use this anymore" screen, which also told me that I WAS in fact warned... not very classy. Overall this is a decently well written application, but I will not be paying for it. I already thought the dark theme left a lot to be desired (it has like, 2 colors, non-configurable... I was injecting my own code to restyle it and change the fonts.) and the ordering of elements was extremely inconsistent between devices. WIth the negatives out of the way -- overall, I had a good experience using this website. If I were less capable, and had more money, I think a $20 lifetime membership would be more than fair. Funnily enough, I was searching for any reference to the actual authors, or the source code of this project a few weeks ago, and came up short. I suppose this is why.
