Speed Dial [FVD] - New Tab Page, 3D, Sync...

As others have said, with 81.5.3, the search field shows on the speed dial page now even though it was disabled before.

There's a forced search bar now, and now I keep having advertisement dials added and advertisement groups added. I'm giving this until I come back from my work trip next week, but if it isn't fixed by then I'll have to find a different new tab page. Edit: On second though, I'm just gonna uninstall right now. Too many better options out there.

It became greed and useless and looks like opens up a sponsored links by itself!

Not liking Speed Dial as much as I like the idea of Speed Dial. It will not find a preview screenshot for anything! I don't have time to screenshot, edit and save photos for the links. Please fix it! I wish I could add a picture to show you the sad faces I have to look at. Currently looking for a similar app that will give me back the functionality this app once had

Recently started putting ADS, (sponsored websites) along with my saved websites in my dial. Why is every single pixel of screen space on my devices destined to be taken over by ads? Guess I dont need this anymore. Uninstalled.

Sometimes dials disappear out of nowhere. Sometimes dial-ads appear when I didn't ask for them to.

The dial updates are not functioning. Neither automatically nor manually! Are your programmers actually capable of accomplishing anything? Why are third-rate programmers permitted to programme?

App does not allow to set any other search engine except the hardcoded one, so the searchbar is useless. I like to set and use the original google search.

Recently Closed doesn't work. I always have 0 entries in it. This makes it useless.

it was working fine until a random day all my links are gone and a outdated set of links appeared , tried to find any way to fix but no proper backup or saving features found, all my links and efforts are gone

It's bad, because it doesn't always saves you current setup/saved Dials, so after reinstallation of Operating System, or due to changes in your browser, you can easily lose your data. The User Interface is also confusing, especially EverSync part, saving your presets (wording) is very bad.

I don't want a different search engine and seemed no choice. Didn't like the 3d view like I thought I might.

Finally got all of my Speed Dial tabs installed (three pages). Just opened it up and they're all gone. I'll reinstall all of them....one more time. Yes, I installed the app that is supposed to save the sites. Never could get it set up. Edit: Now my saved 'dials' are randomly disappearing.

Doesn't work on my Win 10 laptop! When opening browser there's just a blank page - there's nothing to show that Speed Dial Fvd is on my laptop. It's there when I go to "manage extensions. When I hit "Extension Options" 8 virtually empty boxes appear that have no description and seem to serve no purpose, and 9 icons at the top do absolutely nothing! I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times to no avail! Edit: Even their support site link doesn't work: "Oops! Page not found" Not impressed!

I used to love this speed dial, but lately not so much. First, some of my dials stopped working. They would redirect to some scammy looking sites. Then today, my 224 dials started disappearing. I tried reinstalling from Eversync, but that didn't work. Luckily I had just done an export so I imported the dials from that and they came back for a couple of hours and disappeared again. I have reimported them 4 times today. I will not do it a fifth. Going to try Yet Another Speed Dial.

My favorite extensions are those which are free at first, but some time later they want to blackmail you, offering to pay to access and export your own stuff. Don`t bite these... it`s a scam to charge you yearly if you want to sync or even backup/restore your dials LOCALLY!

I've been using FVD for almost 10 years, not a single issue with it always ran smoothly .......... until today! Every single page, every single tab just disappeared into some strange internet void, never to be seen again. So, like I've got nothing better to do with my time, I started and completed saving all four pages of dials again ..... Two hours later, they all vanished again, then again for a third time and NOW for a fourth. I am now at an insane level of frustration and wanting to headbutt the computer screen, but I won't because, it will hurt and I need it to look at so I can see what I'm doing and do you know what I am doing? I am removing FVD from my computer and laptop and looking at the alternatives. Normally, I don't kick someone out of the bed for farting because I'd fart back, but I draw the line when someone craps the bed and FVD left one hell of a skid mark!

Is the product down? Had been using this for many years and suddenly, it stopped on 30th June.

The search bar in SpeedDial redirects all requests to https://r.bsc.sien.com since 24.06.2025

Upgrading to a new faster Chromebook Plus has been a nightmare due to FVD and possibly EverSync. It used to offer choices for the thumbnail to display. Now it usually offers no choices even for major sites so I need to manually copy the thumbnail paths from my older Chromebooks and this is having used EverSync which did help a bit. I should never have gotten hooked on FVD in the first place. Google's default page for Chrome is similar anyway now, no need for FVD and just avoid bad apps like this one.

Sponsored ads tab cannot be removed from the speed dial. Ads are not welcomed! Instantly kicked out of my browser.

This extension has placed sponsored adds to the default tab this running & collecting data in the background based on the sites that you visit. All of this activity is taxing your computer and slowing the google chrome web browser experience to a halt. Very slow & wish that there was a way to turn off these ad speed dials that are not useful at all, they just take up my limited space for short cuts to sites that I would have not visited nor have interest in.

Used to be essential, but I'm now looking for an alternative. It was bad enough when they were shoving their own links in when you didn't want them, but the fact they're not trying to pull a PayPal/Honey and steal affiliate money from users is unforgivable. Do not use this extension. It's now doing shady redirection when clicking bookmarks you define. I'm not sure how this is even allowed.

When you create an Amazon dial for "https://www.amazon.com/" Speed Dial redirects it to "https://www.amazon.com/?&tag=..." which is an affiliate link so they get a commission. Shady.

It adds extra shortcuts to your dial randomly and you have to set it up every time your have to install it fresh. Unless you pay. However, ill never pay for something that doesn't work completely when I give it a trial run. So, I guess they don't want may money at least. I feel bad for those that did pay to get to have the experience that should have been presented from the start.

Update: 12/31/2024 It happen again today, 😡 I unistalled this extension. 12/27/2024 I used to love this app but now it's becoming annoying 😡 simply because it wipes out the created speed dials without warning. I will give it one more chance but if it does it again i'm switching to another reliable speed dial extention.

Used to be free to restore the speed dials when switching computers or working through multiple devices. Now I have backups that I can't access and can't restore. Will just have to rebuild my speed dial again. Also auto icons doesn't work when adding new websites.

Great dial program except for all of the shortcuts that get randomly placed into the program.

I purchased a lifetime pro version of Eversynch, an add-on program designed to synchronize speed dial and bookmarks screens across various devices. I paid more than 100 Euros. Everything was fine for a couple of years, but later the program started showing that I don't have the pro version. I wrote to them many times, and they "fixed" the problems many times. However, the program never accepted me as a pro user again. Later, they simply stopped responding to emails. Whether writing here or emails, they just don't respond anymore. They also don't respond to requests for a refund. Does anyone know how to contact Google in such a case for providing a faulty service?

This add-on keeps playing with my speed dial tabs. It periodically resets them, and by default tries to use a referral link. I have noticed lately even if I reset the dial, and remove the referral part from the address, it still loads things like amazon with a referral.

I have been using FVD for more than 4 years, at the beginning, I enjoyed and made my thumbnails and bookmarks organized. However, it happened over and over time that I opened my Google Chrome browser and found that all my thumbnails over the years are gone and I can not resorted it even though I have an account on Everhelper web. Once you try to restore them all your bookmarks are gone as well. I tried again from the zero to start and looked for all my bookmarks and thumbnails but the problem happened again and again. I am really upset.

I have been using this for years, and have been happy with it, as it seems to fulfill my needs in regards to having a nice, quick overview that I can adjust as I see fit (for the most parts). But recently, for the last month or so, the same 6 dials, split in 2 different tabs, keeps coming back, even though I delete them EVERY DAY! It started around a month ago with 2 new tabs, and new dials split over the now 3 tabs, where the the 6 dials that I cannot remove started showing up, and a couple of more in a tab that I luckily were able to remove. I saw here on the in the reviews that they ask people to send them an email directly, so 8 days ago I tried that, then 3 days later (5 days ago) when I hadn't heard anything not even a confirmation mail that they have received my email, I tried to send them a new message this time though the help section that is linked from within the extension, but here again, I haven't heard anything! I normally don't like to leave negative reviews, but it seems that these sometimes get at least a little attention, even though it might just be an "send an email to our developers" message (which as I mentioned already tried..)

Been using it for years, and its been great. Then recently new dials and groups are showing up and changing my links. Going to find another piece of software.

Used to be good, but it is not trustable anymore. The backup just backed up the 30 new dials, while I had over 700 items. I didn't noticed and trusted the backup and then after clicking Restore Dials, all my dials have gone. There is no server backup with th extention, unless you pay them and still you may lose all data, the same way. Not recommended at all anymore

USED THIS EXTENSION FOR YEARS THEN SUDDENLY IT TURNED TO TRASH. ITS A FEW YEARS AND THOUGHT I WOULGIVE IT A TRY. DIDN'T EVEN FINISH THE SETUP AND IT DID NOT CHANGE ACCORDING TO THE WAY I SET IT UP IN THE OPTIONS. SO SAD STILL TRASH

Well what do you know... my 25 dials just got deleted ONCE AGAIN. It lasted almost exactly a month to the day... This is ridiculous now. It HAS to be on purpose to shove the paid ad tabs down our throat. Why else would you continuously wipe all of our saved tabs?

This program is buggy. Automatic and Custom preview locks you out if the site has no icons, and caused all sorts of buggy behavior while it's searching endlessly. Another annoying bug is the click counter for "Most Visited Sites". Sometimes they won't count the visits and the dials you use most will not appear on the "Most Visited" page.

I know there was an update, however, I ran the update and everything seemed fine. While working yesterday afternoon, I open a new tab in my browser (speed dial is my home page) and ALL my dials are gone. My groups/folders are still there but not one single dial remained. My local back ups are also gone, the only ones present are those that occurred after this incident. I made no changes to settings, all I did was open a new tab. I have used speed dial for over a decade and have always been satisfied, except for the spam dials that started showing up randomly and recently. But now I am well beyond frustrated.

Used to be great now keeps crashing and losing my dials

I've used this extension since release and loved it, until about a month ago. It started adding spam dials to my default list, and at first I just removed them and figured so what, easy enough to fixt for a free and stable app. Since the last few updates however, now every time Chrome closes this app makes it crash and it keeps deleting all of my dials and filling my default list with spam. It even claims that my most visited are sites I've never even loaded! I'm sad to say that the time has come for me to move on and find a better extension. It was great while it lasted, however now it is garbage and I recommend you avoid like the plague.

Stop adding dials to my default group that I do not ask for!!! Every day you add facebook and x dials. I already have facebook and I do not want x!!!
