Helium Backup

Doesn't work on any platform with any way of backup. Does download a file using phone as local server, but it is empty for any app. Waste of time.

This part does what it says... but the accompanying Android app is basically useless.

Simply doesn't work. Just grab the standalone versions instead. I have no idea why this option is the "recommended" one.

once installed with drivers etc it still not works and just wait for device also if already connected. don't use this app

This does NOT work with newer devices. It gets stuck on the "turn on USB PTP mode", did that, restarted phone, did everything I could, tried turning it on and off repeatedly, nothing happened, the app simply wouldn't connect to either the browser helium extension OR the windows version. TL;DR waste of time, do not install this abandonware.

never worked through chrome, i have to install windows version every time.

same as rest: win10+chrome and android latest in 4/18. i got my moto g5 to connect after installing driver and helium backup plugin to chrome, listed haf of my apps that on a good day it would be unable to backup at all (so if app worked it would amount to a 50% solution), then it bombed out totally when it tried to run the backup 6-7 different times. doesnt work. need 95% solution. and finally after installing this and that, new drivers, rebooting, trying to figure it out, it turns out hidden in the fine print i found it doesn't work at all with motorola devices. thanks for not putting that note front/center in bold red. you suck for not doing so.

It was working on my Nexus 6, however any subsequent uses have failed. My backup password is blank, yet it keeps asking for the password; so the upload to Google Drive fails. Really disappointing because I need to factory reset my phone. I agree, with other users, I want a refund.

App doesn't work. Mobile: Zopo F5 - Android - installed app -reboot doesn't help. Keep asking "Enable USB debugging" ... "Enable PTP USB connection" ... although all set. Desktop: Win 7 - installed app - reboot doesn't help.

Just crash on first start, and the second, third... Running under Linux seems to be impossible.

This thing didn't do a thing. Waste of time. Also, I don't see a way to remove this from Chrome. It is stuck here forever wasting RAM and disk space.

Enabled debugging, changed to PTP, installed ADB, still didn't recognize. Went to install the Windows version and boom, works like charm. Forget this app, go download an appropriate installer for your device.

SGS7 and I can't get past the PTP screen. I've installed the latest ADB drivers from ClockWork

when i restore my apps suddenly stopped and say it was an error i try alot of time but it doesnt work

Desktop app couldn't detect the phone. Installed drivers. Did everything according to given instruction. Totally waste of time.

Doesn't work. Followed their instructions but it doesn't work. Switched to the Windows desktop app instead and it worked. Don't list this as "recommended" if the Windows app works better, devs.

couldnt get past the part where I have to switch my phone to PTP. I did that and the app refused to acknowledge it had happened so I went round in cirles. Uninstalled and reinstalled and same problem. I'll find something better I am sure
