Paywalled previously available features.
very gae
stealing my data
You completely stripped the extension down to basic features and labeled them as “premium.” There’s nothing unique or valuable about what’s being offered, yet you’re still charging for it. At this point, it makes more sense for me to move to another extension. Goodbye, Marinara.
You simply ruined the extension by including only basic features, like premium. There's nothing special about those features and you still want to charge for them. It's much easier for me to switch extensions, goodbye Marinara.
developer takes unnecessary permissions also added a subscription for normal usage. no longer free, no longer safe.
Absolutely scummy move to pay wall basic features. You have killed this app. There is still an alternative that is free, go look it up.
Man, you could've simply added many important new features that exists in other pomodoro apps and turned those into premium features instead of turning features developed by someone else(chris schmich) into premium features. ;( left with no option but to leave marinara after using it for years. such a cheap/lazy move to steal MIT licensed project and turning it into premium. I'll try to contact chris to get you banned from webstore at least.
Don't download this app! The developer just stole other people's work (see sadly abandoned Marinara project on GitHub) and added a paywall for basic features. He is so untalented that he couldn't add anything new; he only managed to monetize features developed by others. Google should ban this developer from the store. It seems like recent positive reviews are fake or paid, as the app is now useless without the history feature. We should all report this app.
Was great until the devs got greedy and paywalled half the extension.
Just checked, I have to upgrade it to Pro to check my History and statistics. seriously ? I will edit if it becomes free.
Simple, love if it works but core feature doesn't even works (remaining period doesn't move, pause and resume then stuck at less than a minute, not stopping) properly, so going to uninstall back after 2nd time trying this ext..
Glitchy and incorrect, when you pause and then resume the timer it counts it as a completed pomodoro.
Timer still works, and has worked since 2022 for me. They just made the ability to see your history and personal data unavailable... Unless you pay... also they erased my data in 2024ish out of nowhere. so if you just want a regular timer and don't care about seeing your personal data about how often you use it, and what days or times of days you are most logging mins, then its fine I guess.
I appreciate the effort in reviving and maintaining this abandonware, but putting previously-free features behind a paywall? Come on. I'll be finding something else.
DOESNT WORK AS EFFICIENTLY AS IT USED TO WHEN IT WAS MANAGED BY ORIGINAL CREATOR. so many glitches,
It's quite unstable and unreliable. I deeply miss the original version. I found this one when the original was discontinued. This version frequently misses the timing alarm, especially for pauses. It is very annoying and disappointing for an add-on that I expect to help me rhythm time.
Seems to not be as responsive as the old one, how hard is it to ensure that. Telemetry? Also where is the old github. Lack of transparency.
This seems to be the same as the famous Marinara Pomodoro extension that was apparently abandoned (no longer maintained). However, there's no transparency from the new developers about where the code is (the old extension was open source and had a GitHub account schmich/marinara).
Updating my review because the extension still has glitches after updates. When you pause the focus timer to do something away from the computer for 5 minutes and then attempt to resume timer it just skips to minute 0 and counts it as a "completed" focus block. Its frustrating as this is a great pacing and tracking method so I hope it will get fixed.
