Where do I start. It causes problems on a lot of websites. The icon doesn't appear in YT so that you can adjust the settings. And if you try to go to their website, you can't do anything if you have ad blockers. Had no benefit at all for me.

The extension was recommended to me as a dark mode for GDrive. But what good is a dark mode if it covers the page and switches off as soon as you click on something. Quite useless.

Useless. When i click on the extension it just adds an overlay of translucent div. You can't read anything unless you adjust the brightness. On click the layer goes away. It doesnt even work on PDFs.

Garbage. Doesn't actually activate dark mode in apps and doesn't recolor the screen for low-light conditions. Just puts a dark transparency over bright screen items, a transparency which turns off the moment you click on anything.

I don't see the point. I click the icon in the tool bar and everything gets much dimmer. The white text becomes dark gray on a very dark background, making it unreadable. Whenever I click anything, everything goes back to normal. I can find no settings anywhere to customize the experience. When I click on "options", I expect to see options. However, I'm taken to a Youtube page that requires me to subscribe to move forward. Sorry to sound negative. But the user experience and apparent functionality are very lacking.

When I was searching how to make Dark Reader ignore the video controls in embeds, not a major issue since the video itself wasn't inverted, I stumbled upon an article written by a staff member of this extension, "3 Reasons to Move from Dark Reader to Turn Off the Lights Best Tool", so I figured I'd try it out and it's inferior to Dark Reader in all regards, it just adds a transparent mask over the entire page and doesn't invert anything. Then I actually read the article, thinking what the heck how is this better? They doxed the name and location of a Dark Reader developer in that article... Then I see the uninstall pop-ups and some of the replies to the reviews here... The staff for this extension are unhinged charlatans.

At first, I thought it was a night mode extension, but it turned out to be an opacity overlay. However, you can waste time trying to figure out how to make it a night mode by doing research and watching videos. why can they just finish their work instead of me having to go through all of the trouble?
