Dark Mode Everywhere

ive had EVIL CHROME for however long ive had this extension that i don't remember downloading, everything is color inverted and it pissed me off till i just found out this is the cause

Watch out for their cookies the vendor list still uses the Legitimate interest excuse, make sure you reject them.

Doesn't work on chrome web store so every time I get on it I get flashed banged

It just inverts the colors, so dark colors from the site get inverted to white. Not great.

It doesn't work at all. On many websites where the dark mode is auto-enabled, the extension switches to light mode by itself. The extension is not good at all. Use Dark Reader instead. He is better and more efficient.

App has potential but it's definitely NOT there yet. When dark mode is on some things remain in color (no I'm not talking about links). On any website that has panels of color the extension changes it to a lighter version of that color. For example, one website had a dark purple panel off to the side when the extension is off but when it is turned on it's a bright fuchsia. The extension cannot differentiate between an already dark page as it will flip it to a white-ish color. After a few days of using the extension, it stopped responding to hover or clicks rendering the it useless. I emailed support about this but no response. Finally, it takes 3-5 seconds for the extension to kick in.

not for me. colors on pics are weird. also when a page loads, it is totally ineffective for several seconds (page flashes white and remains white few seconds)

Just installed it and it is working so far. Maybe I will update you guys in the future.

I think it needs some work , it work on most of the sites but on already black site in undo's the black to white , it should have a checking tool which check whether the site is already back or not

I really want this to work... but it's just so inconsistent. Some pages look great! It's all blacked out and all the details are still there etc etc... But the issue is that even on YouTube, a place where it should be pretty dialed in because it's so popular. It reverses images everywhere. I feel like there should be some kind of differentiation going on between items on the screen and not just flip the colors of everything... Feels lazy but I'm sure it's a lot more involved than I know. I decided against all the coding professions because I can't deal with the boredom of typing and fixing errors as my full-time job. Which is funny cause that's basically what my job is anyways in data entry. Oh well. Anyways, I would love it if it wasn't just creating negatives of like 90% of every image. It's too much and it makes everything look so bad.

it's really good but i would love it for it to have an option where you can white list or black list sites and also let us change a bit the style cus the bg it's so black it's hurting my eyes

I liked volume master a lot, I wanted to give this a try but saddly not my taste. You can add exception but you can't manage exception (or I didn't find the settings) so if a website use child with different structure domaine name you need to specifies everytime the dark mode should go off. Particulary github raw code is the example I had most of the time. It lack customization of the exception and if auto should mean always off or on. Because I tryed to toggle off the extension but it would never save and stay toggle on in auto anyway. My only solution to not lose time is to uninstalle it. Thanks anyway for the solution you provid to the community, im sure in this state lot of people are happy and that it could improve so it will match my expactation in the futur

Room for improvement. Biggest issue is that the global switch just doesn't seem to work. I cannot turn it off. I turn it off, it shows it slide over, but it's always back to the on position when I reopen the extension.

I haven't used many dark mode readers before and after i got NightEye which is the best darkmode extension but after seeing the examples i got the impression it's better than most becaue i believe most are just color inverters. If that's not the case for the average darkmode extension then this is just average as well. What i'd like to see is better predictability for when to change colors. Something very obvious was that red is always inverted and results in a pink that doesn't go with the pure black that this extension applies. I think that on some navigation bars you don't need to invert the colors from white to black but that is more subjective becasuse i liked both font colors. This should have a button to apply websites dark mode functionality if it has one like NightEye has. For this extension to be truly great is if it had the funcionality to not just invert the colors of elements on the webapge.

It isn't working in the installation page of chrome web store it self. But works in other sites.
