Material Incognito Dark Theme

This extension doesn't enable dark mode in incognito. The "You've got incognito" page is dark, no other pages you navigate to after that is. Doesn't do what it claims.

Doesn't actually darken the page, just the browser itself. Useless.

There's no option to uninstall it! You can only disable it from Settings > Appearance > Reset to Default. But no option to uninstall!

Can someone please tell me how to remove this please? I dont even use incognito

If you want to remove it: Navigate to : C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions in there you'll find alot of weird looking folders (these are the ones you should delete after you locate the correct one) sort by change date for an easier time, then inside each folder there are files with a number names, these are the versions, just click one of them inside them youll find a .json file open it in the .JSON file youll see the name of the extension. once you located the correct folder you can delete it Delete the folder with the weird looking name.

The theme is forever "Added" and is only disabled, but cannot remove it. Resetting doesn't work. What the hell.

Reported . . . I downloaded it and it doesn't even show in my google extensions nor in my downloads. TF did I just do? Downloaded a virus? Downloaded a extension that cookie save all my password and user? bruh

For some reason, they decided to make text almost the exact same color as the background, so you can't read any of your shortcut folders at all. Apparently, the theme is meant to keep your own information hidden from you now - brilliant.

Perfect, until now it changes your new tab page with this time and weather thing instead of the google logo, shame. Been using this for a long time but now its ruined :(

It was the perfect theme! Why did we have to drop corners and angles for this bubbly curved garbage?

Why bother to make an update to a theme? We liked what it was before. Make a new one and upload that instead of forcing us to adopt it.

can´t uninstall

Doesn't integrate well with Windows 10. Developer feels it would be "too much work" and can't be bothered.

It only changes the top bar on the chrome window and I cant figure out how to uninstall it.

This isn't a dark mode. This is just a black theme.

Broken after the last Chrome patch. New tab now shows in white and there are some bugs with tab text. A pitty because this theme is so simple and can't manage to find a decent alternative ;(

Scroll bar is white. Facepalm...

It's almost impossible to distinguish between an open tab and the other tabs. Because of this, it's unusable. Fix this and it's 4-5 stars. I recommend using a different dark theme.

hard to differentiate viewing tab and others

Caused a performance issue in my case. When I installed this theme, my Chrome started lagging constantly. Cursor was occasionally freezing in place, buttons were not responsive, page rendering became slow, even typing the text was painful, as the letters appeared with a considerable delay. I couldn't understand what was causing the lags, disabled all my plugins, closed all tabs, but nothing changed. But when I deleted the dark theme, Chrome performance came back to normal. MacOS Mojave, MacBook Pro 2015, 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM.

Don't like new-material chrome ui and new grey-out border looks terrible with normal ui (chrome://flags/#top-chrome-md). I'll wait for a separate "legacy" version for normal UI, don't like updated version. Thank you for old theme version.

The tab bar is too white compared to the tab

"can't theme the title bar because it adds ugly minimize/close buttons" What? You want to make your theme look bad? I like the theme, but I won't be installing it until 2020 which is when the Chrome dev team will fix the "bug" that you are complaining about.

well its good but sometimes it changes the colours of things it doesnt need to and on some site it doesnt work

When i installed this, i was satisfied with the results. But when i uninstalled it, the theme stayed and i cant get rid of it.

I only want a theme for the INCOGNITO mode because that's where the active tab is indistinguishable from the other tabs. This has been a problem for several years now, and Google ignores it. I was hoping that a theme could fix it. So I repeat: I do not want the default Chrome theme to change expect for the Incognito mode.

The color scheme looks great, but there is one major flaw - the "hamburger menu" and all the bookmark folders are still bright white and gray. I'd give this 5 stars if those could have a black background as well. The URL bar could also use a black background.

I like it. It works just like the one on my Mac. The problem is, though, that on the google home screen the underneath the icons of my frequently visited sites,the text is black with a white bounding box around it, which is not cool. I'll still use it as my default. I'd appreciate it if this were fixed.

All it changes is the top of the browser where your bookmarks, toolbar, and address bar is. If I go to any website like YouTube or Google News the background color is still white. It'd be nice to have a theme that changes the entire browser to be dark with white fonts.

Mediocre

It's not compatible with version 73.0.3664.3 (dev). The download bar does not have a dark bg but with white chars, barely visible.
