Turn off read receipts for Google Chat

The toggle never showed up :(

It is not working. The button to turn on or off receipts never came after installation of the extension, is there any other way?

Watched the video and still cant get it to work. The button never shows up on m email page. Does this feature not work for Google Chats the web app?

Doesn't work. I have it installed, and when I read a message it still shows as being read. In Google Email the chat button is there, but there's no switch to turn it off and on

I had just recently installed extension turn off receipts on Google Chat and I don't see anything from me to know it is working. If it can be fixed or updated I'd appreciate it.

Working for me. Came up after I closed the page and reopened my google mail. However, it says some functions may not work while this is on. Plus it is has a constant blinking caution triangle. Note-When viewing on a mobile device, and seeing it without clicking on it-will show unread.
