Lame. This isn't needed to cast to a Chromecast. Anyone can use a tab to "cast my screen" and put in on the tv. Yeah, like that would be worth the watch. And this isn't an extension, it's an app. And It's just a link to their site. If you go to your google apps (chrome://apps/) you'll see it there and you can remove it from chrome.

Cannot uninstall, does not show as installed under extensions, and plays mkv files to a blank screen.

One of the worst out there, cant play ANY .mov file, could not handle a 58MB mov file, Dont bother

Can't figure out how to load .srt file. It supposedly searches opensubtitles.org for the file and loads it automatically. I was able to find the file on opensubtitles.org and download it, but there appears to be no way to load it. Search feature in app fails despite file being hosted on site.

Doesn't play the video file in full screen and I couldn't get sound to work at all.

Nearly useless. Extremely limited file format support. I can only use mp4 and m4v with it. I have hundreds of avi and wmv files, but can't use them with this player. There is also a lot of lag when sending video to the chromecast.

Works for mp4 files, open subtitles and allow change from english to portuguese, accepeted portuguse characteres. Could be better!

No sound. To stream to TV must to click on Google Cast extension...

Its only support MP4, MVK file type not avi its the same use it direclty in URL link.

It doesnt work at all. I dont even know what is it used for. I could open just one movie but no audio. Other formats, no way. LIXO, só para passar raiva.

Not a real chromecast app - just has you cast the whole tab so quality is terrible!

Finally a subtitle cast... I thought until I realized that the audio was missing. :(

Plays and casts well with the exception of limited codecs so no audio on many current video files. One would expect a .mkv file to play with audio but it might not... Not interested in converting existing formats just to use this player. Expecting users to do so is weak. If this issue was fixed it'd be a 4 star rating at least. Instead I'm getting rid of it in favor of something else.

on Samsung Chromebox ChromeOS and crashes everytime I play a movie.

I would much rather the app called VideoStream
