New Tab Draft

Now that I know this extension is counting my characters, what else is it watching me do? I'll be removing it asap.

Draft tab worked great for over a year and now our saved draft tabs and items are gone. It was good while it was.

What happened to our saved items on the Draft Tab? Just gone. You needed to leave it alone. Now our stuff (links) placed on their are gone. Removing the Extension permanently.

I am going to DISABLE and REMOVE THIS EXTENSION from my browser. I agree with others who question the need for additional permissions. This is not a bookmarks/frequently visited extension and should focus on it's purpose, as it's not polished enough to start adding bells and whistles that were not asked for. Since this update with the required new permissions, on each page load, the left side of the page flashes -- quite unnerving, even if it's innocent, and at the least, visually bothersome. Yes, you can hide the new bookmark section, but I have not found this additional feature to be useful at all, and is rather redundant as most of us already fashion and display our bookmarks the way we like them. In addition to the new "features", the extension does a few things poorly. First, the super annoying blur that happens when its saving (?) comes with a slight lag/delay that forces you to wait before being able to SEE the text and continue typing. This defeats the purpose of hassle-free note taking. Also, the extension tends to not save the typing/cursor position, so if you leave the page and return, you may find your cursor at the very bottom of your document instead of where you left off. Good luck finding that position again on a long note. I switched from Tab Notes recently to this extension after the behavior of Tab Notes changed recently (likely due to a Chrome update). This extension -- New Tab Draft -- offers tabs which Tab Notes does not, so that's a bonus for those who would rather work in a single tab for notes, but that's the only positive over Tab Notes. Lastly, "Jack Lee" has replied to a few ratings here with "We don't do evil" & "I think you are smart enough to make the right decision." You're right. Removing from Chrome is mine.

Why does every app want all our personal data?? I enjoyed using this extension for the last 2 years but I'm deleting it today. The developer says they need to read our data to show our bookmarks. I don't believe this - if I wanted to see my bookmarks I'll just enable bookmarks in Chrome.

Worst Extention. It crashed when I was writing a note. Lost all my notes. Won't recommend if you are taking important notes.

Doesn't work anymore. I relied on this, it WAS very useful but now all of my notes are gone. Not only that, but also the drafts won't work AT ALL and won't save. How disappointing.

Deleted all my notes.

it was working batter till now, now it has some problem when i goes to other tab and then when get back here it will refresh and throw curser in end of the note please fix this

I really like the app, and used it quiet regularly. But now the new update came and removed all the notes I had without notice. I'm now trying to see if I can recover the lost data in any way.

Removed it right away. - does not retain links to click on. That and Bold or italics are 'rich content'. - does not show up in the list of extensions. I closed an extension that tried to redirect and my tabs went blank. So that was the one. - ditto @RichHartzell spurious permission?

Please remove the "Share with your friend" popup, it breaks the minimalist idea of the page.

I used this daily for years, but now I've exported all my notes and deactivated the extension because it started wanting to see all my data. I don't need a preview of recent websites or whatever you're using that data for -- it's completely unnecessary and unhelpful.

I was appreciating, even missing things like bullet points, hyperlink and text effects (like boldness) but Yesterday I lost all my notes with no apparently reason. This makes this extensions not trustworthy. It's a shame.

I loved this app until last moment. Suddenly all my data is lost without doing anything not even clearing browser history. I regret for having lot of information in this app.

Used to be a very elegant and lightweight new tab notetaker but sadly not anymore. Many new features make this extension feel bloated. After many years I will switch to different extension

So great extension, but havent synchronization between devices...

The functionality is great! Unfortunately, it seems to contain bugs because I lost some of the text I had written in the tab... Which makes this extension not reliable for professional use. => switching back to "Papier".

BUG REPORT: when opening a new tab i get a white flash before it reverts to the black theme the extension can be very useful but this little issue gives me headaches every time i open new tabs please fix so i can continue using this thank you

I have loved this extension for years now, it's perfect for writing quick notes easily. But... I am having a problem currently where I accidentally clicked the Lock option on one of my notes. I don't think I've ever locked a note before, but it gave me no option to set a password and now I am locked out of the note. :( I honestly don't care about keeping it or unlocking it, since there wasn't anything important on there, but is the some way to delete or remove it? Or am I just stuck with this forever? Please help! Thanks!!

I like the idea of having notes in a tab, but I would much more prefer to be inside a specific URL. Notes could open in a new tab only when you click on an icon. My new tab is reserved for other things and I don't like every time when I open a new tab that I need to look at notes. I tried to contact developer via email and Facebook page, but he is not responding. I hope at least he reads reviews and might respond.

It was good really, but when June 30 update comes in, it crashed my browser and all of my notes are lost.

Works well mostly. Loads kidna slowly if there's lots of writing even on 1 page. The calculator function doesn't work a lot of the time and just stops working for no reason. Even when i worked in a previous line, not sure why.

can you make it where you can set if it gives out the answer when you want? i want to make world completion times but your program thinks that it needs to calculate and show that i do not want.

I rated it three stars but it deserves a thousand. I just did this to attract your attention to my comment. For God's sake add a dark theme and then you'll be a perfect super useful and amazing extension!

please add the ability to use hyperlinks! Also it would be nice if when I opened a new tab it would start at the top instead of the bottom of my notes

I like it! It is great for just jotting down ideas when looking for a place to write them. However, I wish there was a way for the bookmarks bar to show up on that tab without just enabling "always showing" in Chrome settings.
