I really wanted to like this game. Unfortunately once you create your toon that's it. You are stuck with only that 1

would love to play this game, but it installs malware everytime i try. love these games but am now very disappointed in the fact that im being infected.

Not nearly as fun as single player Adventurequest. Very confusing and unnecessarily complicated.

Devs only take advice and input from twitter. IT also took them several years to finally get their act together and give members actual perks. Their 'official' forums are ran poorly, with concerns being deleted and told they are 'negative...' I could go on for days... Basically, I only stick around cause I spent money, they 'game' is nothing more than a dress up chat room.OH! Devs also try to get boosted ratings by asking sycophantic players to blindly rate 5 stars over twitter. Hence why this is also being posted.

I've played this game for a couple of years and I must say, I'm quite disappointed by it. Instead of going uphill, it took two steps forward and 3 steps back. Graphics-3 The graphics isn't too bad for a flash game. Animations are kinda meh since the animation for movement is always you walking sideways even if you go up or down. Even the attack/casting animations are all the same. Sound-1 There's barely any variety. Weapon impact has only 2 sound effects and the background music isn't too good Gameplay-1 There's barely any of it. This game doesn't feel like an RPG anymore. Classes almost work the same, EVERY weapon in the game almost does the same damage, armors, capes and helms DON'T provide ANY protection at all and all of the items are cosmetic and aren't even useful. Quests are VERY repetitive and consists of fetch quests and picking up/distributing items. Classes are limited to 4 skills, and getting most of these classes require you to do the same quests over and over at a duration of a week to a month and most of their skills function in the same way. In short, this 'RPG' is a dress up game in disguise. Content-1 I'll begin with the story. Now the story isn't so bad at first. Until you finish the first few areas, the story becomes very predictable with puns that aren't even funny anymore. The 'items' they put in like I said a while ago, NEVER provides any beneficial properties and most of the art are re-used(most players just doesn't notice it). Most updates will only last for 15 minutes and are always filled with cash items. Oh sure, the AC items are optional, but what if it's the ONLY OPTION you have? This game is a bit cruel on the free players because of that. Seasonal and special events are horrible as content on holiday based events are recycled every year. And also,this game always puts 'rares' so much that the word lost it's meaning already. Did I mention there's plenty of cash based items on WEDDING and BIRTHDAY events? Short version: There's nothing worth spending on this game other than multipliers. Community-3 The community is just as worse as the game. You'll only find a handful of players that aren't as stupid as the rest of them. Overall-1 This game had potential but it went deep down the toilet. Oh sure,you get weekly updates but they tend to last only around 15 minutes which tends to be filled with chock-full of more cash/membership items, or if some bad luck occurs, they'll only do art updates which takes WEEKS. The staff better step things up if they want this to be better. And parents, please, JUST PLEASE watch where your kid is spending money on this game. (Subject to updating)

Too much money for what its worth. I had to pay $60 for a game that all you do is buy stuff. If you like fashion shows this is for you.

To give you some of my opinions and some true facts: The staff members are good, the art seems legit, and it's a simple MMO game. The downside, on the other hand, is greater than its advantage: The community (Well... majority of them) are filled with immaturity and buffoons; the gameplay is like a deja vu; the story used to be good, but seems lose its purpose; Membership doesn't have any worthy as ACs grows. To sum this up: It's only a good game for players under 12, and unless if you prefer gameplay, it's only good with the arts. I bring no hatred or stupidity, just giving out some facts about this game.

Quite honestly, this game is terrible. I've played since beta testing, and have invested over 400 dollars worth of Membership and Adventure coins, and all I seem to get in returnis items, rather than a decent game. The storyline repeats it's self. "oh no new chaos lord. oh no chaos beast attacks. time to kill chaos lord." The seasonal events are repeated every year. The humor can get annoying after awhile, seeing as all the AQW staff do are puns. My friend described this game in a nutshell: "A dress up chatbox". I wouldn't even consider this a game. You'd have more fun flushing benjamins down the toilet. I'd like to play a game thats fun, not an item collecting game.

Worst game ever

I love the game, I've enjoyed it very much back in school and miss playing adventure quest worlds. But since adobe stopped supporting flash-player, now i cant play it on my Chromebook because it doesn't support chrome OS.

Story is pretty awful. Art is... okay, I guess.

I liked this game, but it is being ruined by easy to fix issues- for example botters. What is the point of having items you can work for if someone can just get them easily with a program? (And if the items come from an boss unkillable alone, it won't be long before you will not be able to find help) Just ban them all and be done with it. Even if they've spent a lot of money, just ban them- the antibotting action is too, little too late. Normal players will thank you for it. There also doesn't seem to be a lot to do any more. Dragging out releases with a lot of quests- like the frozentower event- doesn't really work. Items or areas that will keep us occupied, but not bored, for a while would help. Finally, it feels as if our concerns are not being listened to. Especially on the forums, where anything except praise is often deleted. We're not even allowed to speak out against the topics that concern us, while the title-seekers run riot. I feel the game was better in late 2012 to the end of 2013 than it is now.

I cant get aqw on chrome

I've been playing this game since ~2010, and it's only gotten worse in recent years (after they closed up the main saga). It's extremely fun up until you finish the (1st) main story, the 13 Lords of Chaos- after that there's not much to keep one playing, except for the one-in-a-million well-written side stories like the Seraph saga or the Dawn of the Devs releases. Unless you're die-hard multiplayer or /need/ to have a bunch of different armors, I'd suggest AE's older games. Dragonfable is the only one still going strong story-wise, but it's AMAZING in all regards.

when i play this game my computer is automatic off but i dont know why but when i didn't play this all day my computer is not automatic off!!! can you fix this game

An okay game. Most releases are very new-player unfriendly. Also a lot stubborn veteren players. Also, pay to win.

Its a pretty fun game, but it has it's fair share of problems. Personally, I feel like there is a ridiculous amount of rare items always being released instead of normals, and the quests aren't that interesting anymore.

Well, I'm quite an old/young player. I rarely play now. I'm lv30-ish with lots of old and new rares and stuff. The design is a bit too kiddish for me, but still looks good and is becoming more and more detailed. Jokes? Hilarious. Sometimes, its as dry as bread. I understand how this is an indie-game, but most features and items are only for Upgraded members or are bought with adventure coins. Sure, its free. But to be honest, too much membership exclusives. The storyline is a bit predictable now though. Yet overall, a good game.
