NOT WORKING ANYMORE SINCE TODAY. I was really happy having this for more than a year. Please fix with updates.
thanks for bombarding me with hundred desktop notification about your shiΚΚy extension not being able to add the rule (that been added long ago) and causing errors π update: oh my god it's happenning each time after adding a rule, windows pop-up notification for every rule made ever!
Installing an extension shouldn't open a website. That is intrusive and suspicious. I am downloading an extension, it should be self contained.
Couldnt get the scheduling to work. Unintuitive and quite annoying.
trash browser i have set a password and also wrote the pass down and then try to unlock the page and it say wrong password it will wipe the password out so when you test it dose work mislead extensions reporting abused extensions
User's will find this extension's way of telling them what site it just blocked, either JUST AS ANNOYING AS A "POP-UP" AD, or more so. For every blocked site it opens a new tab to display a notification page to the user of what was blocked. I might of been able to deal with the new tab opening in the background, which it doesn't do. This extension Instead forces the user to auto switch to the newly opened tab. It does this, EVERY TIME. Users might want to wait for an extension that isn't either as disruptive than the sites they want to block or more so.
really bad
doesn't work
Its toolbar icons remains greyed, giving impression that it is inactive. there is no left click menu on the icon, right click has usual options, but no way to block current time. There are lots of Options that are confusing while it does not do basic work of blocking current site simply. Removing it.
Doesn't work for chrome web store
For me, it does not work. It says 'This tab doesn't have a valid URL.' and 'The extensions gallery cannot be scripted.'
blocks entire site
Loads insecure web page. Not good. Get with the times!
Terrible app
very poor
Seems like an update broke some things. Pause doesn't work.
what's the point of blocking a site and still create a tab? When something is blocked I dont want to be bothered to click to close a tab opened by an ad site.
can block a site, but very very difficult to work out how to use the scheduled unblocking feature. Also, Would much prefer if it had a scheduled blocking feature instead.
Will ONLY block top-level domains. So if, for example, you wanted to block https://copilot.microsoft.com/ that wouldn't work, as it will block ALL of microsoft.com This all-or-nothing approach severally reduces it's usefulness.
Doesn't block facebook, I tried all the urls *://facebook.com/* https://www.facebook.com/ *://www.facebook.com/* https://www.facebook.com *://fb.me/* still they won't work
I like that it's free but I cannot understand the UI. All I want is to block myself from certain sites from 10am-7pm weekdays, and not on weekends, but I can't seem to get it to do what I want.
terrible UI. setting a timetable for blocking is completely confusing
I use this to limit my social media time. It works ok, and my social media time has decreased since installing it. I like being able to add a custom message or automatic redirect. It's very complicated to use beyond just the basics, however, and the FAQ is filled with example code and tells the user to "create a rule" without explaining how/where on the options page to do that (the "Add a Rule" header link redirects to the FAQ, "block a new hostname" offers only a space for the URL, etc). The "scheduled unblocking" doesn't feel intuitive (scheduled blocking would make more sense), and sometimes it just doesn't work and will leave a website unblocked outside of the scheduled hours. This doesn't happen on days that have no scheduled unblocking, so it seems an issue with the schedule feature. This extension feels like it was originally developed for companies that have IT departments that are familiar with this type of coding, then it was made publicly available as an afterthought. If you're an average person who just needs the basics of a blocking a website and redirecting elsewhere, this is great. If you want a little more customization, this will do it, but it will be a struggle if you're not already familiar with coding.
The extension is nice.....but I'm trying to block a website "Smashkarts.io" but it can't block it....but it used to block the website but not now
at first it was fine but then I CANT TURN IT OFF the only way to turn it off is deleting it but it was fine tho-
I can easily delete the extension from google chrome even with the password protection is on. so I hope the developers to fix this issue. I liked it though.
this app cannot block site from www3.******
There's no point setting a master password and blocking websites when the user can just go into the settings and remove the blocked website.
Is there any way to stop this Block Site browser extension's own pop up from always popping up to tell me which of the many sites they've blocked? This makes your "Block Site" extension pointless....just another pop up i dont want or need
Something is wrong. I can't rightclick a link and block it. I have to actually enter the site then choose "block this domain", but by that time it's too late. Got caught up in a spam site trying to install all kinds of stuff.
