Enpass Password Manager

I can't say if it's the extension or main app, but 9 times out of 10 Enpass fails to correctly fill fields on the screen, either only filling one or not doing any at all. I've ended up using Enpass merely as a vault to store data, but then manually copy each data item one by one into the browser. I also have to do that on the mobile App. Frustratingly Enpass gets in the way of using my computers, blocking fields, annoying popups and the like, far more than it speeds up using them. Then it occurred to me that is wasting my time and I need to look for a different security solution. A few weeks ago I moved to Linux and was relieved to find Enpass was available, but then discovered the faults are also present in this OS, meaning these faults are fundamental to the software and are browser/OS independent. I've used Enpass for years, but it's now so slow and flaky, I need to spend some time researching alternatives. I suppose I've stuck with it so long because early on I obtained a free pro license, but even at no cost I can't justify continuing with it, especially as there are so many open source security solutions that are also free.

Latest version makes chrome almost unusable on (ajax?) forms with huge waiting times.

The chrome extension barely works anymore. The password popup randomly disappears and reappears without letting you select and autofill login items. Please fix ASAP or I will be cancelling Enpass and migrating to 1password.

I was having the same issue everyone else is reporting, but now it won't even do that. It says "setup required" and tells me I don't have the desktop app installed even though I do. I really really didn't want to switch away from Enpass but I think I have to. this is just too much.

Was great, but no longer works properly. The extension gets into a broken state where the autofill popup menu keeps locking and unlocking which doesn't allow you to click password. Tried everything from changing settings to reinstalling Enpass and extension. Reinstalling the extension does fix it but only temporarily.

Extension doesn't work anymore.

This breaks on chromebooks everytime there is a Chrome auto-update. A very annoying bug.

It would be great Password manager, unfortuntelly its freezing, unable to stay authenticate for more than 1 hour. No way to make it working properly. Going to migrate...

Love that the app works, hate that the browser extension doesn't. I can't find the autofill setting so it doesn't do anything and the extension doesn't help me at all. This a chromebook only problem, it works on everything else I have

Often fails to start because it has trouble talking to the desktop app, even though it's installed. Has trouble associating saved logins with websites. No chromebook support? Just like the android app, the lack of updates is confusing. I would like to give a more detailed review, but i can never get it to work properly so i have given up. Win10 support is extremely poor. I actually regret leaving LastPass for this. Edit. The windows version is not working fine. Have you used it. It often fails to load because it cannot find the app. There is no Chromebook support. I get that you are working on multiple platforms, but the fact is, this ext has not been updated since October of last year. Edit.There is no Chromebook support. You could start with that. This extension turns off Chrome's default password saving capabilities and disables you from switching it back on....

Honestly worked great until Jan when v6 came out. The extension is getting slower and slower. Sometimes it takes up to 5 seconds to respond. Sometimes it just doesn't even work. The developers promised the right the wrongs that v6 introduced but we're 4 months away from 2020 and it's still buggy as ever.

Google chrome extension not working, if it connects to the Mac app often it's too small to read showing a large red box and only a very small blue box with the info... such a shame fix it please

Doesn't seem to work or is terribly unintuitive... plus doesn't seem to have any instructions anywhere, which is the least I expect from an unintuitive product. I have a pro license of the desktop platform, but this seemed really useful (especially since competitors have it).

Total rubbish. Simply does not work (at all). Waste of time.

Extension does not work on the latest version of the software.

This was a great password manager, but with the recent version 6, they tricked all of us into having to buy the software again. They are a bunch of SCAMMERS!!!!! STAY AWAY!

Total bait and switch. Upgraded to Pro in a free offer last year and activated the app on at least 15 devices. As of September 2018, Enpass have started restricting these free "Pro" accounts to only five activations. The Internet Archive shows that their FAQ page on the subject was only created at the beginning of Sep 2018. Even though it was only $8 to upgrade, on principle I have shifted to Bitwarden which is open source, totally free and actually a better piece of software. Avoid this software.

Stopped working all of a sudden!

i'm on Chrome 59 Beta 64 bit (Mac) and Enpass 5.5.3 and the Chrome extention is broken... Connection error :-(

When Chrome is launched, this extension steals focus from the chrome windows. This behavior is very annoying.

Can't export database to KeePass or other format... Once you start using Enpass, you are bound to use it...

It was my favorite on mac, it is a nightmare on windows, I use chrome and the extention does not work on any windows browser. I asked for help.I send 6 email and it told me incomprehensible things.. to finish by the last mail telling me that there are restrictions on UWP application and that therefore it does not work ... and so that it does not I had to use just the Windows PC application ... A piece of advice .. Go your way and get you instead of Keepass

What is the point of having a browser extension if I have to have the desktop app open for it to work? To save myself one click to get to the desktop app? This extension really needs the ability to function on its own, without the desktop app.

Well, the extension is not too bad, but the main application is a disaster. Dont buy this crap, it cannot restore, crashes all the time, sync is not working too well...

i does not work on MAC OSX ..!!! it shows Enpass Connection Error! but it work in other browsers like Safari & Firefox...

Crashed when trying to import Roboform Windows HTML export file. I promptly uninstalled it.

Doesn't work as standalone extension. Requires desktop app installed to work. Useless on ChromeOS devices.

No good without the windows desktop app.

No good on a Chromebook! Seemingly, this extension just links your browser to a desktop app. I installed the extension OK to Chrome on my Chromebook, thinking I could pull in passwords saved to Google Drive from my Android phone. No joy! Because you can't start the non-existent desktop app and enable browser integration.

Extension is auto closing every time i'am clicking on it

worked fine until few weeks ago, now some sites, that have a search bar completely crash, when trying to edit the thing i wrote in it.

I like the app itself but they did not implement this chrome extension very well at all. The app has to be open for it to function, and if you close the app, it doesn't let you use Touch ID, so you have to type in the master password every time.

Enpass software and the logic to keep passwords in local & cloud is a very good idea. I like the concept and the Windows 10 app is great. Unfortunatly, a password manager like this is mainly used with a web browser and this extension doesn't work very well. It doesn't fill automatically login & passwd on different web pages forms, it doesn't learn... well it's unusable. It's a shame because I was ready to pay the premium version with Windows Hello support. Please improve this Chrome extension ! (like Bitwarden for example...)
