WHAT GLYDE DOES
Glyde sits in your Chrome sidebar or as a floating toolbar. When you start recording, it quietly observes your browser activity — capturing interactions, taking automatic screenshots, and tracking navigation across tabs. When you stop, the Glyde web app uses AI to transform that raw recording into organized, well-written documentation.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Install and sign in
Add Glyde to Chrome and create a free account. The extension appears as a sidebar or floating toolbar on every page.
2. Start recording
Click "Start Recording" and perform your workflow naturally. Work at your own pace — Glyde captures everything automatically. Switch tabs, fill forms, click through menus. It all gets recorded.
3. Review and stop
During recording, you can pause, take manual screenshots, blur sensitive data, or review captured steps. When you are done, click stop.
4. Generate documentation
Glyde's AI analyzes your entire recording — screenshots, interactions, navigation patterns — and produces structured, professional documentation. Topics are auto-organized with a logical hierarchy.
5. Edit and publish
Refine your docs in a rich editor with professional formatting. Publish to a branded documentation site, export as PDF or HTML, or integrate with your existing tools.
MULTI-TAB CONTINUITY
Real workflows span multiple tabs. Glyde handles this gracefully:
- When you switch tabs during recording, Glyde detects the change
- A prompt appears asking whether to continue recording on the new tab
- If you continue, a navigation step is recorded to maintain context
- If you pause, recording waits until you return or choose to continue
- Your documentation accurately reflects the full cross-tab workflow
