Bardeen: Automate Browser Apps with AI

None of the magic box stuff is actually on the extension, it's just a basic build a template scrape product, plenty of free options of Apify actors to do that without spening the money. No support function, Support knowledge base either other than the videos that show a completely different UI to what you can access. I hoped for a lot more.

First off, I was supposed to have a 7 day free trial - NOPE, ran my card for $50 right away. Second, It works okay, but nothing to brag about.

I was charged $129 without using any credits. The official website clearly stated a 7-day free trial, so why was I charged? Refund!

Useless extension

There's no way to cancel the trial on this rubbish. The instructions are completely incorrect and they deliberately prevent you from canceling the trial.

Was a five star extension before they started charging for things that used to be free. I would've paid for a subscription but not as much as they're charging.

Useless. Do no trust this. It just gets access to all of your other accounts like google sheets, calendar but in reality it does nothing apart from accessing it.

Be very careful with this extension. Before you know it, you'll have paid Jason $360. Not paying, and deleting your account has been made extremely difficult. A very dark pattern is at play here.

randomly downloaded onto my browser after I turned off my computer for the night. I did not close any websites. The next time I got onto my computer, this was installed, and I had to give it all my personal information before I could access the website that was running when I turned off my computer. I don't know if they hacked me or what, but I never downloaded this.

Had the extension downloaded and accidentally pressed the keyboard shortcut for it while I was working on critical work. It then took over my browser and I had to force shut it down in order to save my work, since its onboarding process forced multiple steps, and couldn't even finish loading, all while not allowing the user to close out of it. Give the user the ability to exit at ALL TIMES. I shouldn't have to inspect the page and delete the element in order to get out of your software. I deleted it, but had to re-download it in order to write this review.

Waste of time, it doesn't work

Nothing works, we tried and tested an automation sequence from google drive file passing with 4 stages till it creates a Notion card with the result. We even did 3 times. We even tried one of their playbooks, maybe we were doing something wrong. NOTHING WORKS. No way of contacting support on any platform. No way of knowing if this sequence is working or not. No way of knowing what is wrong to fix!! Don't subscribe to this tool. I am trying Zapier now and let's see if it's also a scam

Was an amazing tool, turns out it was too good to be true. Bardeen made the service subscription based out of nowhere without any prior in app notice. They basically used everyone as beta testers while being "free" to collect feedback and tons of talk about them. That part wouldn't even be that much of a problem. The problem is they rugpull their many many users by adding this out of nowhere. Basically not giving people the chance to find an alternative if they became dependent on Bardeen. Which forces them to subscribe. Truly a baffling move move for a business with an excellent reputation to stain there reputation and name like this. People would have likely subscribed anyway. And you greatly underestimate the advantage you threw away by doing this. It is worth a 100x time more than a few extra subs.

Forces you to create an account. This is a no-go for me. I do not mind if this is necessary for integrations or such. I cannot even try one paywall without setting up an account. I will use something esle and will never come back.

Not user friendly. I couldn't figure out how to automate daily screenshots of basic website urls. Not even sure if it can do this.

It was very promising tool and I thought that I finally found the way to scrape large data easily. Unfortunately I found that deep scraping is not working properly and it gives me no results no matter how I tried. I struggled for days to find a solution, followed the youtube tutorials but nothing worked. Finally I sent an inquiry twice to the support team and got no help. They indicated that they prioritize the paid subscribers, well, I was intending to subscribe If I found the tool useful for my work, but If It doesn't do what it should and If no one cares to fix it why I would bother paying for it?

Full of bugs, constantly crashing...

A really confusing but good looking product. It has a lot of features, but each feature you can find in a better form somewhere else. zapier is still my go-to for automation and there's lots of scrapers out there you can connect to it which work better than Bardeen's. Bardeen's interface is pretty, but the experience is really cluttered and confusing like it's doing too much.

It opens sooooo many tabs just to get started, immediately sent junkmail to my inbox, and the permissions skeeve me out. I'm not keeping it.

Couldn't get the background scraping working properly. Now it is a premium feature. Was hoping to scrape text to create a digest for myself. Will look for another tool.

Says it works in one click, but the first click opens the extension in another tab, second click says 'please try again on the tab you're trying to access'. Which is exactly what I was doing. Might work after that, so....5 clicks minimum + having to wait for it to open an extra tab for no reason. Come on, if you say it works in one click. MAKE IT WORK IN ONE CLICK!!!

great app, Ui for building automation can be a little more intuative and when running very large batches of scraping seems like it fails
