Can't export under free plan, greedmaxing smh.

Why does this not consistently work? Sometimes it highlights, 2 seconds later it does nothing on the same page.

Do not use this extension!! It messes up your default browser styles and overwrites default website styles. In a better world this would be removed from the extensions library as intrusive and malware-like.

I do not recommend it at all. After writing many highlights, everything was suddenly lost without me changing anything in the browser. It seems that it doesn't always save everything unless you subscribe to the program.

this bllshit doesn't work as & when the pages are loading, moreover, as & when these pages load back, all the highlights that i have applied would be gone just like that. I'd think that i have highlighted 10-15 individual scattered lines from numerous paragraphs, & when i would scroll back up, all of that would be gone, fix it, otherwise decent to use

Constant spam and harassment with messages to review, subscribe to premium or sign up for other stuff.

It will constantly show givefreely popup and there is no way to remove it.

This extension is spamming users. I kept getting this huge "Your Purchase Can Make a Difference" popup that asks for donations to some charities that I do not know when I'm browsing online shopping websites. At first I thought it was a non-profit organization that convinced these companies to add this popup. Today I finally had it enough, so I went into developer tools to remove this popup. To my surprise, I discovered that the popup's html element has an attribute: `data-extension-name="Web Highlights: PDF & Web Highlighter + Notes & Annotations"`. So...It's a spam from this web highlighting extension..? I'd rather you just pop up a new web page like Ad Blocker than adding a huge pop-up that hides half of the webpage to force people to donate. Spamming is just wrong and you are violating users' consents. Update: confirmed the annoying popup is from this extension, because when I removed this extension, the popup finally disappeared.

DO NOT INSTALL THIS EXTENSION IF YOU HAVE SOME/MANY IDLE TABS OPENED, THIS EXT WILL FORCE RELOAD ALL YOUR TABS ON FIRST INSTALL. THIS IS A VERY BAD PRACTICE. YOU SHOULD ONLY HAVE ACCESS TO CERTAIN TAB WHEN ASKED INDIVIDUALLY. USER DO NOT EXPECT THIS EXT TO ACCESS EVERY TAB WITHOUT EVEN ASKING.

Does not save your highlights!!! I tried downloading and printing multiple times and it would not show my highlights. Tried several different methods and no matter what, my highlights would not save when downloaded.

Great extension, in the 1 out of 5 cases where it works. (I'm rounding up.)

It literally converted text into an image so nothing is highlightable. When you close the left menu, the PDF's loading completely restarts. I don't understand how people are having a positive experience. Is this some kind of virus?

I'd like to give this a good review, but ive been unable to get it to work on any site ive tried. Not sure if this is user error, ive tried everything including the stated keyboard shortcuts. I also tried removing it and redownloading it but it still isnt working.

Worked for the first few highlights, now it wont highlight at all. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it and even tried to change settings after it stopped. Nothing helps. I was hopeful to use this for school, but I will see what extension I have on my desktop and use that instead at it has not let me down.

Unfortunately, this extension doesn't work unless I switch off my ad blocker! So for that reason, I am uninstalling.

IDK what the heck happened, but it used to work fine. Now, the highlights clump letters together without spaces, which screws up the page and is REALLY DISTRACTING. Please fix this, I would rate 5 stars if this was fixed

Extension broke a local website using `@radix-ui/react-select`, only on localhost. Definitely wouldn't recommend if it had to modify the DOM this much.

The extension keeps showing me a pop-up asking me to allow access to file URLs, although I already did; several times, for that matter. I also restarted the extension, my browser (Chrome), and my PC many times. Nothing will get it to work at all. It's a shame, because the extension looks very useful and reliable, but I can't even try it, so of course that deserves one star at best.

it kept bothering me while i was on the scratch website. and i ignored the highlighting way, and i undownloaded it because it bothers me.

This extension went from a four star review for not providing an indication of highlighting on websites, which Weava does, but still getting the job done to a one star review for deleting important notes I highlighted. It worked fine at first but now, I do not recommend the extension at all---it failed me when I needed it most.

So many issues: Notes don't sync at all. and if that isn't enough - most of the functionalities are hidden behind premium. The pricing is okay and you are on premium trial without even knowing. So, a trap set too.

PDF highlights dont work

Always logs you out when highlighting and when you log back in, it will delete your highlights. You lose everything. God I hate this thing. So much wasted time annotating.

Issue with downloaded PDFs. It was working marvelously on a pdf in a browser. I didn't want to mark up a website so I downloaded the article to my computer. I then opened a browser tab to view the PDF and it wouldn't allow me to mark it up. Read the directions and went into the extension manager to select "allow access to file URLs" and it closed all my marked up articles on the web and the icon is now showing "off" even though the manager shows it as on. I'm very upset. I did an hour's worth of work on my research and now it's all gone and I can't get the articles back. I can go into my account on their website and see my markup but I can't get the document back onto the browser.

have to sign up?? Why no offline!! Why would I keep my work on your server instead of my own HDD! Seriously; why?? and kindly!! forced to it?? Why dont you state this in the first line: THIS EXT WONT WORK IF YOU DONT SIGN IN!..

On my PC, the Web app shows the highlighted area correctly. However, when I view it on HP, the highlights are not displayed correctly.

Wow why does it need to collect my AUTH information like logins, passwords, pins?? Says it on the privacy tab

The extension is not very good because every few seconds the screen goes black and you have to refresh the page to see the highlights and edits that you've made. Same thing happens when I switch tabs only to come back to a black screen and needing to refresh again. When you download the pdf, it doesn't show the highlights--I believe you need to pay money to access that feature which is stupid.

Fails to highlight when there are math equations (e.g. in many wikipedia articles). Sometimes you reload the page and many highlights are lost.

It was great until I started to wonder why copy and paste were missing from the context menu in brave browser. if you can sort out why it disappears when enabled and fix it, it will be 5 stars.

The concept is great, but the app is poorly developed. It lags, is jittery, and consumes excessive memory. Overall, it feels inefficient, making it difficult to recommend.

My highlights are out of order, it's not in created time as my expectation.

When I use the color purple to highlight text on a PDF, the highlighted text gets stacked on top of itself which makes it blurry and it only does this with the color purple. I know I can just use another color but I do not want to, I want to use purple.

Not working for .html files opened in browser.

Buggy but good for notetaking when it works. Sometimes the highlights do not show up on the page at all. It would say "10 highlights applied" but the highlights last 1 second, then they disappear. Refreshing the page sometimes get it working correctly, success rate is 10%. There is definitely a bug with the extension, I'm running the latest version of chrome. If the highlights work, then it is very good. You can take notes for each highlight.
