Save As MHT

Almost works, you can see the white icon on the desktop and then POOF it disappears!

Hey dev, you provided us an extension to download webpages as mht and mhtml but can you guide us on how to read these saved files? Since I cant find any software, IE was there but not anymore post discontinuation, so please guide. I have saved some webpages but cant read them. No extension mht and mhtml file reader or software on windows or chrome?

Not working for some reason. Fails to save, "Download error"

Completely non working for me. Right click on page, "Save as MHT," menu freezes and page is not saved. Tried all kinds of playing with the button and I could not get it to work. Frustrated me and wasted my time.

It does NOT work in Linux (deb). Chrome drops each time when extension starts.

no "save as mht' menu

Does nothing! Only the icon in the taskbar, the icon of the right-button mouse. After that, does nothing. I was expecting to open a window where to save the file, but nothing happens. Saying this, so far is a dummy icon. Less than one Star.

It offers unfortunately only save in txt format. Deleted -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

It works OK, but I prefer SingleFile because it does the same thing in a simple HTML file which won't open in IE by default and looks better.

It works, but it has problems with e.g. German Wikipedia pages because of äöüß. And it's unnecessary because Google Chrome itself also has this functionality built in. Go to chrome://flags/#save-page-as-mhtml and enable Save Page as MHTML.

great but when I try to save it gives random names like "0f8c4f0b-a1ef-42d7-bed6-ef38ccce62e7" why?

Edit: Automatic title no longer works since December 2025. I love this extension and use it multiple times a day.

Used to work fine but as of April 2019 it has stopped working for many sites. Can't be sure but it seems to be any site with non-alphanumeric characters in the page title. Shame really as it was a great little tool.
