Free Smooth Scroll

Smooth Scroll replaces the browser's default scrolling with fluid, physics-based motion. Scroll with your mouse wheel or trackpad and enjoy smooth animations, natural coasting (momentum), and responsive acceleration when you scroll repeatedly in the same direction. Features • Physics-based scrolling – Momentum and coasting after you stop scrolling, with tuned easing so motion feels natural. • Quick acceleration – Repeated scrolls in the same direction are detected and slightly accelerated for faster navigation. • Works everywhere – Applies to the main page and scrollable containers (e.g. sidebars, code blocks, modals). Respects form fields: scrolling inside inputs, textareas, and iframes is left to the browser. • Customizable – Adjust animation speed (100–1500 ms) and scroll step size (40–400 px) from the extension popup. • One-click on/off – Enable or disable smooth scrolling anytime from the popup; settings sync across your devices (Chrome/Edge sync). How to use Install the extension – smooth scrolling is on by default. Click the extension icon to open the popup and tweak Animation speed and Scroll step to your liking. For the best experience, turn off the browser's built-in smooth scrolling so only this extension controls scroll behavior: Chrome: open chrome://flags/#smooth-scrolling and set to Disabled. Edge: open edge://flags/#smooth-scrolling and set to Disabled. Privacy Smooth Scroll does not collect, store, or send any personal data. All settings are stored locally (or in your browser's sync storage if you use Chrome/Edge sync). No analytics, no external requests.
