MightyText - SMS from PC & Text from Computer

not working on Chrome Feb 26

As much as I've used this and liked it up until now... I can't give it any stars because it has stopped working. I'm not sure if it's Google that is interfering with it or some disagreement between them. First it stopped integrating with the GMail which was for me it's greatest feature. But you could still access it through the toolbar in a separate window, but now I don't even know how to open it. It's a plugin, it doesn't function as its own application and it won't open in Chrome. I'm cancelling my subscription today and looking for another way.

spamware. i uninstalled it and it popped right back up 1 week later. i don't even know what this does. i do'nt know how it got installed on my computer to begin with. badware. spamware. malware. adware.

I've been using Mighty Text Pro for probably 10 years. a few months ago, it no longer works in Google Chrome gmail. it was awesome when it worked. Does NOT Work in Google Chrome gmail.

Experiencing huge issues with app, trying to liaise with 'Madison' but nothing suggested is resolving the issues we are experiencing. Customer support is awful and the impact on our business over the last 2 weeks not having the system issues resolved is causing us huge operational problems. Was such a fantastic system until 2 weeks ago - just wish there was a decent customer support team especially as we are paying for this service.

Mark you took the words right out of my mouth. Long term user, MT used to brilliant being able to apply customer label to each MT received in inbox, but no more despite numerous support emails which were not helpful & failed to resolve issue despite promised resolutions. Uninstalling & not renewing subscription here we come!

It has become a mass of problems on Chrome and another Chrome based browser. I'm sorry to say that after numerous years I'm uninstalling it.

It's early March 2025, I've been using mightytext for about 5 years on my PC, and as of roughly Dec 2024 it's on the edge of being non functional. I can still send out texts just fine, but mightytext doesn't receive about 90% of all incoming texts! I used to get texts generally no problem (except for group texts) but it was acceptable. Now this barely works. Texts don't come in whatsoever, the very few that do, don't trigger the notification sound either. I don't know what happened to this service, but it's awful now. I'm going to start looking for alternatives asap

I think this app is on its deathbed so I would recommend not installing or signing up/paying for the Pro version anymore. It no longer functions consistently in latest Chrome versions, and the company website seems to be mostly a museum piece dating back several years without news of any fixes. I wish they would update it as it was useful extension/ app for many years.

I have been using Mighty Text for a long time with very little problem, but here lately it has had all sorts of glitches, and today I find out that Google is going to drop it from extensions. NOT GOOD! I'm very disappointed because we pay for the PRO version and have had great success using for our Foundation Repair business. As customer service rep, I use this app constantly all day keeping in touch with our technicians. BUMMER! Any other time I would have given this app a 4 start rating. Not 5 because of the occasional glitch but always have been able to get it worked out.

"Error: Android Phone not registered with MightyText with this Google Account, or MightyText Android App not installed properly on your phone." Not only is this word-salad the only help I can get on this site but it is no help. And I will see your PD with PD of my own [diagnosed in 2003] and I will raise you one tumor on my tongue, and now it won't let me transmit this review

Chrome says you're not really in compliance with them anymore and is encouraging me to unload the app. This is really too bad because I really like this tool!

Getting this: mighty text waiting for phone to send message

The program won't launch after just setting it up. What gives here.

I used a non-google email address to login, and it's stuck in MT and can't be changed. App ceases to function. I get a loop when I try 'use another acct'. Very frustrating, and I give up; after un-installing, reboot and re-install doesn't help. It was great, now it's just painful.

Fine when it works. Sometimes it doesn't. Fortunately it is not vitally important.

Absolutely infuriating. It stopped working so I wanted to cancel the pro version. They send you round in circles ignoring direct and clear requests. The trick is the cancel link is hidden under a support button (browser dependent presumably) on the billing tab and it will not allow you to delete your payment cards. Do not touch this app. I would like my money back. They have taken an extra year of subscription

Mightytext was somewhat useful until Google came out with their own free text from browser service. I canceled my MIghtytext Pro subscription several years ago as I don't need it. Still they bill med credit card annually. There is no way to contact them by phone or e-mail. I have reported this to Mastercard, and they are canceling my card and sending me a new card. Please stop billing me for services which I have not requested and do not want.

DONT PAY FOR THIS APP! I made the mistake of paying for this app for a year. I wont do this again. Messages dont go through for hours, when I send a message it sends it twice every time, I NEVER see my messages that I send from my phone on the site.... those are the biggest/main issues. I wont go into the other little ones. DONT PAY FOR THIS APP. I went to Best Buy because I am a total tech support member. They set me up with a program already installed for Windows to help me be able to send texts from my computer, call from my computer, and do more than this crummy app does.

Monthly limit for free sms is down to 75 atm 😅😅 these guys are just idiots. Sorry mightytext team, but you are asking for $6-7/month to send >75 messages for me. ROFL 🤣🤣🤣 Why? Do you actually have your own sms server that does not use my credit for the SMSs? NO! No, you don't. It is my phone and carrier that does that. But you are billing people like an sms server would. So you're bull💩 🤮 Everyone, just go with google messages or MySms app, or anything else, don't get ripped-off by these guys. You can see how desperate but still arrogant they are by forcing a $80/year subscription just so that you can send >75sms through their app. 💩

Terrible. Did not function AT ALL. I payed the 80/yr fee, and I got a handful of air for it. Good job in making this trash. I would rate it 0/5, but sadly it's not possible. Get a life.

Registration errors in Chrome are getting to be too often that I am going to uninstall. Several times a month this occurs. I check the box to not be notified again but that rarely stops the pop ups. I have to actually take action to get them to stop. This is extremely frustrating when I'm in the middle of working and have to stop to attend to something as trivial as this.

To sing in via Google Chrome I need to sing in on my android app. I have an iPhone. Useless.

I am very disappointed lack of customer service with this app. I had used this in the past and decided to use it again. This time around I am very Disappointed and will never use this app again. I was trying to cancel it before I was charged and couldn't find where to cancel. I email someone and asked for a call or to please cancel the transaction and to date no response or money being credit back to my account.

Will not stop giving pop ups and is a paid service pretending to be free. there is a text limit it will not tell you about, then it will demand $6.99 per month. If you chose to delete the app, you will CONTINUE to get POP UPS on your computer asking you to sign in. I've deleted the chrome extension, the computer app portion, everything. STILL GETTING POP UPS THAT COVER MY SCREEN 3-4 TIMES A DAY. IVE REACHED OUT TO MIGHTYTEXT. NO RESPONSE. SEARCH THE INTERNET, SEE FOR YOUR SELF. ONCE YOU DOWNLOAD THIS YOU HAVE IT FOREVER.

DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TO SPAM YOUR EMAIL INBOX. There is no unsubscribe in their emails... which I am pretty sure is illegal... but either way annoying... I get several emails a week now even though I uninstalled the app several days ago. Absolutely horrible.

Does not work unless you seriously compromise your privacy. Everyone and their neighbour will track you every movement. It tried to connect to numerous domains and requires 3rd party cookies...No, no NO, Hell NO!

It was pretty good until it limited me to a certain # of texts online per month unless I paid them!! Not thanks!!

The newest update to notifications is utter trash. I can't even read them at a glance anymore. I have to fiddle with the un-minimizing button just to see the notifications, and the text contrast is so low now, I can't even quickly read them. I have no idea how mightytext thought this was a good idea to update it in this manner.

Used to work ok - but of late hasn't really worked at all. Uninstalling (had to reinstall just to write this review). Switching to Messages for Web which seems to work great.

This is a scam they say its free until they get your CC number, then you can not get out. shame on Google for sponsoring such a scamming website. Tell the facts up front and let you decide if you want it! It my be ran by Democrats!

I was very excited about this program. MYSMS was working "okay" but not perfect. So I figured I'd try this out. To get the same features I had to upgrade to "pro". This app costs OVER $6 PER MONTH vs MYSMS which is $10 a YEAR! Buh Bye MightText! I've never hit the uninstall button so quickly. LOVING MySMS now. :) If you're happy with few features, then this is free, and that's fine. If you want to type in a simply thing like contact names, then get ready to shell out the bucks buddy. Thanks... I'll pass.

It looks like you do not have any messages on MightyText.

Monthly limit for free users keeps decreasing. 150 --> 125 --> 100. No reasonably priced plans available for people who just need a couple hundred texts a month. Just trying to squeeze the money out of its users...

You must verify on ur phone I don't have a phone hence why I'm using this garbage.

From when I first started using this it was alright, but they keep reducing and reducing the number of texts you're allowed to send as a free user. Used to be 500, then 200, then 150, now it's 125. Ridiculous.

There is no way to delete your account and this extension and the app keep all of your photos, texts, and apps list. DON'T DO IT

Recently have become money-hungry and limit monthly messages to 125 for "free users", require a monthly subscription to send more from the desktop client. This app used to be much better and have recently become more restrictive in favor of receiving more money from potential customers. No longer using this after several years of use. Doesn't even work half the time these days.

it only syncs some of the texts from your phone. This inconsistency is the main downfall of the extension. Also, most of its decent features are only available by paying for a subscription that costs way more than it's worth.

I used to love it, but lately all I get are error messages instead of SMS messages.

this was a terrible app, there were many interuptions once i finally downloaded it and it took me two freaking days to get it to download. after that, it wouldnt even work...if i were you, i wouldnt download it
