Keeps messing up the group tab names and replace them with 1 tab or blank when I reopen a group tab on Chrome or Brave. It works on Firefox, but still bugs out using this extension or any auto group tab extension on Edge, Chrome, or Brave.
This was one of my favorite extensions - however it seems to have entirely stopped working for me recently and I'm unsure why. Chrome released their experimental AI autogroup tabs feature which may have changed something about tab groups? I have this disabled and tried installing and reinstalling - if it ever works again it's a 5 star extension, works much better than the google autogroup one for not spamming you with huge numbers of tab groups.
I LOVE it, especially how easy it is to operates + the Merge and Strict options. One feature that I believe would elevate it even further is keyboard shortcuts, enabling the toggling of features on and off. This would be incredibly useful when placing two windows side by side from the same domain (or even the same page) without needing to manually disable the merge feature. @loilo.de - what do you think? Is this feasible? Edit: Changing the rank from five to two, as the auto-grouping and enforcement features are not working as expected.
Doesn't appear to fully work in Vivaldi or Chromium on a Linux Mint install. Created rules don't work. The rules never appear to be applied. Something may have changed in the chromium base code cause it seems a number of folks are complaining that grouping isn't working properly - and it is also affecting some competing extension like Acid Tabs and Tabs Groups Extension.
Sometimes, my saved groups are changed for no reason.
Please exculde PINNED tabs then it will be perfect !
It's almost perfect because it solves the issue of new tabs not being allocated to an existing group, however I want all my new tabs to be put into a "Tabs" group which i'll manually sort later, if that functionality is added ill change my rating to 5 stars. So instead of allocating a group for specific URLs, just every time the new tab button is clicked it goes to designated group. Edit: actually it'd be perfect if every website, not just new tabs could be assigned to one group, to account for when people link you a random news article etc, setting up every reasonable url that someone could send you would take to much time.
It only auto-groups tabs if you configure it beforehand, where you have to provide the links yourself. Three stars because ultimately it works, but i'd love to give it the full five, if it did what you would think it should do.
Didn't save my settings between sessions
It would be more useful to have a one click button to auto group all current tabs by domain/subdomain (but only when there are more than one per domain/subdomain to save space)
