Description

This extension adds a "Duplicate event" icon on the event preview card, letting you quickly duplicate it with one single click. You can also quickly duplicate an event by holding alt (option on Mac OS) while clicking the event. --- Source code: https://github.com/fabiosangregorio/google-calendar-quick-duplicate

Unusable, clicking the duplicate button just brings you to current day without duplicating anything.

As others have said, if you're trying to duplicate an event that is not in your current timescale, for example, work shifts weeks or months in the future, every time you alt+click, it will take you back to the current date. It's not particularly functional. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon, as this seems to be pretty basic functionality for a calendar.

Good idea, unpleasant issue : if working out of current date range, f.ex : 2 years ahead, performing quick duplicate will refresh page and BRING YOU BACK TO CURRENT DATE

Did this ever get fixed? I added the extension but the duplicate button is not appearing on the event preview, nor does the option + click function work.

Stopped working

Not working after 2 uses... Removed it within minutes as it would change from week view to day view after only one time duplicating an event. I would have to go back to week view and start again, then it may work or not. Really hoped it would've worked!

Bit rubbish - still too many clicks and should be default behaviour, not just a Chrome Only extension Basically, ctrl + click and drag is a far more efficient duplication option and should be the basic default behaviour. Instead we have "Duplicate" or this Chrome only extension. Duplicate is terrible. This is moderately better, but could be done away with by giving us true keyboard shortcuts. Ctrl C / Ctrl V, or Ctrl and drag to a new day would be awesome. This is a proprietary software bandaid rather than a solution.

For Events it works fine. However, the "duplicate" icon is added to Tasks as well, where it is bugged. Whenever I click "duplicate" on a Task, it's being deleted. And when I try to undo the action, I cannot undelete it (the task appear only for a milisecond and is deleted again).

It could be a great extension if it worked with tasks. Instead, it deletes any task that I try to duplicate.

When I click "duplicate" it just deletes the task...

Helpful if needing to duplicate an event within the same month- but as a shift worker trying to duplicate my shifts months and months in advance it is less helpful as after you select "duplicate" it sends you back to the current month. Almost creates more work then the original chrome duplicate option where you have to select a new date for the event.

Seems to duplicate but immediately places the duplicate at the same time of the original event without allowing me to change the event to a different date and or time. So, it does duplicate, but why not duplicate and keep the duplicate event open in order to change details before closing and saving?

Properly duplicates a task but changes the view from "week" to "day" wasting more of my time and clicks instead of saving it.

Sadly creates more work than it saves. After Alt clicking an event it takes you to a day view of a seemingly random day of the week with no duplicated event. When you then go to the day of the week your original event was on it has a duplicate event there. Not useful unfortunately.

It changes my view in calendar after using it. So it doesn't save me clicks at all.

Doesn't seem to work with Focus Time events

Does not work, it pops open but then disappears as fast without doing anything at all. Or I must be doing something wrong?

Would be perfect but frequently takes you back to current date, turns the shortcut back into a longcut. Great concept though!!

The duplicate button is not the same color and is not in line with the other buttons. Also duplicating moves the view to present day

This will be a killer solution, but on the latest Chrome on a PC, I am having two issues: 1. Right click duplicate was there for a bit and now is gone. 2. When I duplicate, it moves to the month before when in month view and the week before in week view. I really hope this gets worked out...the idea is BRILLIANT!

It is practical because Google doesn't want to do that feature, but, as the others, very annoying to be redirected to the current week, it should remember the week displayed and after duplicating come back to it. Also, a shortcut or possibility to add a shortcut to do the action would be great, maybe in the extension parameters ? Apart from that, thanks for doing it.

Not working please fix! Also can you make an option when you right click an event, theres a option to duplicate please?

Can't find the option to duplicate event... or is this not working anymore?

It's a great extension but it's a bit stubborn. Sometimes it does not show up as on option, sometimes yes

Copies an agenda item rapidly, which is nice, but it returns the agenda view to day instead of week. Is this a bug, or can this be updated? Thanks!

COULD be super helpful, but everytime I use it it takes me from the "week" view I normally use back to the "day" view - and three days back, so it actually creates more work to duplicate something. Love the idea, few tweaks and it could be great!
