AdGuard AdBlocker (Beta)

Once useful has not become useless. Sad days ahead. Not keeping up with the changes in some major sites for which I got it. I am sure you know which those would be. So... I am glad I didn't go for the paid version. This has happened to me in the past... paid, then was left in the cold. Not again. I do hope it will catch up again (hopefully).

I had to uninstall this as the developers have caved into the demands of Google and unblocking ads, imposing a restriction, and allowing Chrome to disable filters. Time to switch to another browser.

They removed on all versions for thwe chrome extension the possibility to manualy update, and change the time for updates. No control equals no star

Doesn't do what it says it suppose to! No blocking of any kind of ads at all. Try find something better

Slows down my browser. It looks the same and seems identical to the standard Adguard extension except larger in size and renamed as MV3 Beta. I'll stick with Adguard "regular".

This is just a copy of the regular version. So, this add-on is kind of pointless now because it uses way more browser juice than the old version. Had a good run though. Later, Adguard!

So far, Adguard MV3 Beta underperforms Ghostery MV3 by not listing blocked content, but Adguard MV3 does offer element blocking (It's OK so far) Ghostery MV3 does not. Of the three, Adguard MV3, Ghostery MV, and UBO Light MV3, I'll take Ghostery, it performs better, so far. Adguard MV3 won't be anywhere near as good as Adguard MV2 but that's a Google restriction that affects all extensions going forward at some pre-deterimined time Google desires. New rules restrictions are at 30K max per extension, which is too low for any adblocker. This isn't just Adguard, it's every extension. Still, it uses too much memory.

Breaks websites like NYT when you try to view article cannot scroll. FLickering too?!

Really lags and I have a fast CPU. The regular Adguard extension has now been effectively rendered useless thanks to Google limiting the number of filters in MV3, I am keeping my fingers crossed that despite this heavily bloated version, MV3 beta will be exempt. Otherwise, I will have no choice to switch to Brave for the timeeing or Firefox. This is going top far Google...

There's an annoying bug at the moment: some chrome downloads fail and display the following error message "download blocked by your organization". After some trial and error I figured out it was this extension blocking them. So if you have the same problem, just temporarily disable it.

Very unstable. Blocks most ads. Middle finger to Google for making this happen, but using Adguard DNS on top so doesn't matter what Google does, their ads are going in a black hole.

It doesn't evade YouTube's anti-ad block detector. That needs to be added in very soon. Other than that, it works against a lot of ads on the other sites.

Addon blocks ads while its working, but it gives and extension error daily and requires reloading

If only it can block those pop-ups ads that suddenly opening new tabs out of nowhere, it would be as perfect as ublock

Works well, obviously future needs are here which is fantastic. However I see adverts briefly appear and then dissapear.. this is not blocking.. this is hiding.
