This worked great until recently. Now it has no effect, and the "recent webpages" thumbnails appear again on new tabs. Is a fix on the horizon?

This didn't do anything, but that's why I like it😂. I'm gonna tell my friends to get this extension and tell them that theirs something 'secret' in it.

Worked fine until (noticed on) 8/11/17. Please update or let me know how to fix.

3 stars because it works fine, but... The permissions are suspect. "Read and change all your data on the websites you visit"!?! For a blank page? I don't understand. Adam Schwartz also makes "Empty New Tab Page" extension that is without these odd permissions.
