Does NOT work in all tabs except new tab.
Not being able to remove it is kind of a bummer since it seriously messes up certain things.
The dark mode of other browsers can avoid too bright screen, and can also replace the original bright screen of the webpage with a dark background. The market share of google's chrome is so high that it only cares about its own dark background, once the web page is opened, it does not work at all. The scope of google is extensive, what are involved in the edge, the function is not perfect is also a lot.
Good but to dark while working also cant remove!
There is a bug/malfunction with this theme: when first opened, the words in the bookmarks bar are in dark color which makes them illegible. Only when you pull out a tab to convert it into a new window, the words in the bookmarks bar of the new window become white, which makes them now readable. If corrected, I'd rate it 5 stars.
I'll try this for a while and report back. My reason for seeking dark screens is that I have dry-eye with MGD and my eyes are extremely light sensitive. An additional consideration for the use of dark backgrounds is that when a form requires selection of items on a list and the check box only changes colors to make the selection, some of those colors will not appear on the screen and there is no way to know if you have correctly selected it or when you have deselected it. I'm hoping your developers can find a way to deal with that.
Using windows, I really like the active state of the window -- I REALLY DISLIKE the light color on the top and the boxed min-max-close buttons when the window is not active ! I really love the AYU theme for sublime without ui-seperator, this comes theme close.
Not true Black - some putrid greyness/bluishness elements, close to but still alienated from perfection we had in venerable WindowsXP/partially achievable in Win7 (both rooted in/based om WinNT) & some LinuX distros for engineers/sci/tech/professional use, UNlike putrid Win10/11/etc. By perfection I mean TOTAL user-customization incl pure Black/0xFFFFFFFF... in hex/B000000.... in binary color.code we could set/had avail in WinXP + IE combo for ANy/ALL elements of system UI, nevertheless this theme comes close, but "Material Black Dark" theme *by another provider, ehre) is even Blacker tho that STILL nto as perfect as good/old days
Overall it is okay but the (Chrome) Task Manager window is all white and blinding, so removing. I like to keep Task Manager open to kill memory/cpu hogging tabs and processes.
i like it but its too dark for me to use when im doing hm
I like the colour but when the window is inactive the top bar is ugly IMO. Blocky min, max, and close icons, and the light grey is a lot different than the standard.
Not a bad theme, but a couple major problems for me. First, the theme does not look anything like the picture at all. Second, the "unfocused" theme is terrible. Why would you "lighten" the theme on "blur"?
