Useless. Set as default app in Google, still cannot open previously made database direct from Google Drive. Shared a database with another user and they are unable to open at all. Export option doesn't work either.
Not sure why they call this a database... it's a single table. It fancies up a spreadsheet, that's all.
It was too simple for me...
Doesn't work on a chromebook HP 2017.No way to enter datas in columns so coudn't try it.
100% useless. Doesn't do ANYTHING cannot edit labels, cannot add records ... it deosn't do anything
I can't find a wizard to tell me how to use it.
Crashes with big data imports, and is very limited in function.
Just pathetic. But you'll figure out why for yourselves.
sucks
Can't connect. Site moved.
It did not import the format that I required
Not a normalizeable relational DB. Just spreadsheet with nested spreadsheets.
completely unuseful
This is not a database! Not even an effective spreadsheet. Junk dumped it!
It says simple .... but wtf it's anything but.
Registered, but cannot use the home page... Only Getting what looks like HTML code... b.length&&h(g)?c=null:null===c&&(c=a,d=e);a=g}uc(c,d);return a}function yk(a,b){var c={};z(B(b,0,-1),function(b){a=wc(a,b,{})});var d=b[b.length-1];return
Not a database at all. Only a spreadsheet!
Since it does NOT save to Google Drive I do not like it. I keep forgetting how to even get back to where the database IS located!
No capability to query the database. May as well just use a spreadsheet.
Phone numbers cannot be recorded as....wait for it....: phone numbers. Only the area code appears. The only formatting options for numbers are: "Normal", "Percent", "Money" or "Scientific". All but 3 digits disappear or are displayed as 8,001,234,567. Very frustrating! I chose this database specifically to manage a membership list, including member contact info. If phone numbers cannot be recorded in this database, I have no use for it. Will change this rating if this issues gets resolved.
Worked more like a spreadsheet. Did not allow me to use my data the way I needed.
Good start, simplifies parent child relations for header-detail tables (identifying foreign keys). Does not support master table references (non-identifying foreign keys). Supports derived columns with a very limited set of functions (can't even retrieve today's date). No query or reporting functionality, and only limited form functions. But given all that, this database can give you a simple way to store a simple membership table with multi-valued attributes. I do wish it were a real Google Drive plugin which stored it's database in the Google Drive folders (or at least a link to each database). Google Docs has gotten better with each update. Here's to hoping that this can follow suit. To get another star, this app needs to store it's databases, or links to them on Google Drive, and implement non-identifying foreign key relationship. Query and reporting tools will get it a fourth star, and full functioning RDB capabilities will get it the final star. But as it stands, it is a good start.
A bit more basic than I want.
Didn't work at all, tried several times and each time it said it was creating database then it said "lost connection" "Trying to reconnect" Update: Looks like a browser issue, wouldn't work with Firefox but works with IE
Only 2 sorting options.... really? And no report generation. What's the point?
It was okay
Its too simple. Its pretty much just a spreadsheet that uses others methods of storage. They want $5 a month to allow others to edit files which as it stands is way too much. We need different themes, a real database that has storage, and so on. As it stands a spreadsheet could do the same thing as this. If features come in the future update I may end up paying for it.
Some obvious things are missing such as formatting a field that has numbers to not be numbers (ie a phone number). Being able to tab between fields seems like something that should be rectified, it's very difficult to add a record without it.
Simple, and easy to use. Will do the job. But it does take some major effort to load data with the import limit. I too thought the file was stored in the Google Drive, but it is not!
I wish it had a tab to next field function. Sure help in entering a lot of records.
As a quick and easy way to make lists - very good! And does well with simple relational data too. Would like to be able to sort on multiple columns. Entering data while fairly easy is not the same as a spreadsheet - I was not able to tab to another field. Adding a row requires me to move the mouse to the bottom of the window. A great start. I would like to see some more things added.
Has great potential but a lot to cover in terms of functionality
lacks usable functionality for forms
This has potential, but lacks and needs the following: Ability to query Obvibase data from Google Sheets and vice versa as well as set up queries within Obvibase Ability to produce reports in Obvibase Ability to publish views of specific data (publish query results) Android and iPhone apps
Excellent database tool and extremely easy to use, but until it supports storing databases on Drive or on a database server that I can host myself, I will rate it 3. Apart from that, 5 stars.
Limited functionality
Luke warm review, Just in case I can't use it... I connected it, but it doesn't appear in my menu!!?? Other apps do though..
