OPSWAT File Security for Browser

I downloaded a file from a fake site that looked almost identical, but it turned out to have a virus. OPSWAT marked it as safe with a "V." After opening the file, my Windows Defender went crazy, detecting 700 viruses in one file! They had already started affecting my files and registry, and it took a long time to clean up. This was no ordinary virus, and if this virus wasn't recognized by this extension, I definitely can't recommend it. even eicar. malware-testfile failed in most file forms!

used to have 4 stars... now it has broken my chrome...have had both OPSWAT METADEFENDER ext & EZ-LINK ext on chrome for years... no conflict till now... It nw is incompatable with EZ=link and i need my EZ-link way more so i have to remove OPSWAT.,. thaNKS. ~~~~~~ ERROR BELOW IS THIS: First none of my google searches will load and i get this 400 error: "400. That’s an error. Your client has issued a malformed or illegal request. That’s all we know." ~~~~~~ it says its extension fjampemfhdfmangifafmianhokmpjbcj which is yours ~ This extension failed to modify the response header "x-frame-options" of a network request because the modification conflicted with another extension (OPSWAT File Security for Chrome).

saw high ratings and lotsa downloads for tis virus scanner extension install on brave browser [chromium based] and firefox [mozilla based] unable to scan as the scan process require API key. but on the extension settings Your MetaDefender API KEY info was blank. Thought it was browser problem. disable all the other extension but the api key just doesnt load. Disappointed with the extension. using the website is much slower

After adding this to Chrome then adding the given API key, nothing happens, doesn't work ???

API key is redacted so no way to save it. I get error messages asking for the key when it seems to disappear. Don' t know if this is Chrome which periodically logs me out or the extension. Couldn't find a support page that addresses this.
