RingCentral for Google

When you first install this extension, it works and does everything it's supposed to. BUT, if you click on the banner to update, it becomes the "RingEX for Google Call" extension, which has no functionality to it whatsoever, does nothing, and forces you to close out the desktop app because it is actively designed to work against it, rather than with it. I think you guys should disable the update functionality for the extension until it can update into a version of itself that actually works and does something beyond putting a useless ring central logo in the browser extension menu.

I think it just stopped working.

By far, this extension for contact center is the worst I've ever seen in my entire professional career. I would give it zero stars if I could.

Unless it's fixed, using it is very disruptive. Important calls are being ruined because of this extension. It has immense potential and could tremendously benefit users.

Call centre Users complain about it all the time. Not good at all.

i've had to use this app for my job every day for the last 6 months and its incredibly unreliable. this app will drop audio consistently resulting in the caller being unable to hear your voice. if you change your status (for a lunch or for a break) when you go back to available status, the first few calls will have no audio. the only fix for this problem is to log out of the app, uninstall and reinstall the browser extension then log back in. this is time consuming and very frustrating for customers because the only option is to hang up on them so you can go thru the process of fixing it since they can't hear what you are saying. who wants to be hung up on when you are needing assistance? i don't! i have no idea why this app is advertised as the #1 soft-phone app as you can't rely on it to work for any length of time. in my fast paced job where my managers are watching every move i make, it is frustrating to think a broken phone app could be the reason why i could potentially be written up or even terminated for trying to do my job while having to fix a consistently broken phone app every few hours.

I cannot tell y'all how frustrated I am with RC. We as a business have been using RC for years now. It worked fantastically until about a year ago when I started getting strange messages. Our whole company uses Chromebook - RC started not allowing log in, or logging me out without notice, or giving me odd messages like "you are low on disk space", etc. which is ridiculous. I take hundreds of calls a week. Are you telling me I have to use this little tiny extension instead of the RC browser now? Just because I use a Chromebook? We are going to have to switch to another provider.

I am able to log in but once it's time to load at all it just has a spinning wheel and does nothing. The only feature wanted is click to call as I would rather use the downloaded program.

it doesn't work. it just spins the circle of death at me. I've done everything to fix it but it craps out...

By far the worst calling extension, constantly crashes or just doesn't work meaning you have to redownload and install over and over again.

EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. Terrible extension. Constant updates are made to this extension with no notice to users. You will need to delete the extension and re-download it multiple times a week to get any text messages to come through. Calls echo badly. Don't use unless you have to.

You make crazy updates yet don't have the staff or software to support these changes. Extension will need to be deleted and re-downloaded EVERY SINGLE WEEK. Latest software is TRASH. Please help lol

So I finally downloaded the most recent "upgrade" and wow do I regret it. I can no longer call by clicking on a phone number in my browser, super glitchy and slow, tried adding the chrome extension and it disappears, sent faxes disappear randomly, Ring Central FAQ is worthless, app will also ring randomly when there is no call. I have not dealt with their customer service, but if it anything like their product it will be worthless.

We use this because its easy to hover and text over phone numbers of clients. IT VERY GLITCHY AND CRASHES OFTEN. 90% our of business runs on SMS texting, so I really wish I didn't use this for my company. If any has a better option please let me know!!!! I've been using this for a year and its getting WORSE!!!!!!! AVOID IF YOU CAN!!!! Customer Service is ALSO TERRIBLE!

This company has gone down the tube in the past year especially with their main RingCentral phone app. Their customer service is a joke. Have called numerous times to figure out why I can no longer get or receive calls since I'm getting nothing but silence. Always get the run around, always promises someone will call me back.. no one ever does. Other times texts won't go out and the app will not tell you until you physically go into the text history to check. The most fun is duplicate texts, where it will send the same text out numerous times hours after and won't tell you it's a duplicate text the person is responding to. Sorry but I doubt I've ever run into a more horrendous company.

Desktop app is horrible and the chrome browser buddy is even worse. I wish I was not forced by my company to use ring central.

This program in my experience, inconsistently but frequently has deleted all data from recently sent faxes. After multiple attempts, no online or telephone customer service is available to help with this problem. I am running two businesses. Lost records are problematic, if not catastrophic!. Please save yourself a headache, and look elsewhere for a reliable service!

We've been having a new recurring issue w/a number of members of our team where we can't hear the person on the line but they can hear us. Is this happening to anyone else?

if chrome didn't constantly delete the extension that would be great also the memory in the extension is terrible i'm constantly having to re input the settings to get it to function with the polycom phones

I originally had the click to dial extension and it worked great. Came to work one day About 08/24/2020 and it not only no longer worked, it had been stripped out of my google chorme browser. Tried what they now called click to dial and it works ok for texting but not calling from an app for customerservice. Now I have to dial it manually. Their progress sucks.

Worthless. Can't pin other indiiduals screens so if they are sharing something, you are not going to be able to see it. And you can forget finding any help on the problem. The help section is so convoluted it just creates more issues than it solves. It's like they took ZOOM and made it impossible for Chrome. Again, worthless piece of trash.

Working with breaks... needs to be deleted and installed to get to work...

why have this option when it isn't going to perform or limit the functionalities if you cannot keep up with it. It seemed to give me issues at first, after playing around got it to finally work than after couple days, now when i click to dial, no app pops up. Phone connects and i have no control to disconnect or see the app because it does not pop up anymore

I can't get it to work. I log in, it sends me a security code via email, I enter it, then get this message: "Sorry, we can't recognize the device. Please use other device or browser and try again." Not a useful extension if I can't log in...

Love the concept, glitchy in execution. Restart it 4 or 5 times per day!

Extension does not even have a field where I can add a meeting ID to join. Not everybody has an account.

I have been using this extension for over a year and this used to work great but in the last 30 days (or longer Im not sure) It will not allow me to use the click to dial/SMS feature. I keep getting an error message to "enter in a valid number". This is the main reason I use this extension so now I have no use for it. Once this is fixed I will update my review.

The updates, in my opinion, are getting worse and worse. Now I can only send a message to one number at a time, the text box is still ridiculously small, and when you type, it'll sometimes randomly jump to the bottom of whatever you're writing.

Most recent update ruined this extension. I have a dual monitor set up and run with 3 or 4 windows open. This extension runs in each window taking up way too much screen real estate. It also matches whatever zoom setting you are using in that particular window, so a site that you have to zoom in to read smaller fonts this extension gets larger in that window as well. I really liked the sidebar layout from the previous version that allowed you to hide the sidebar independently of other window behavior.

I cant even log into it. I called these guys twice now and they are saying that they have nothing to do with the chrome extension.. So weird. I tried 3 different computers and it will not let me log in. I was able to before my vacation so its definitely not my computer. You guys need better customer service!

The texting box is way too small to enter text. You can't edit as well as the previous version. I do not like the fact that I can't move the ring central box from monitor to the other.

This extensions SUCKS! It doesn't allow to join an scheduled meeting by using the extension itself, it doesn't work. It requires the Desktop App.

THEY WILL bill your credit card again and again and again, without notice, and when you cancel they say oh well here is a giant fee for cancelling, and I said stop billing my card and they keep billing my card, this is theft at this point. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR FINANCIAL INFORMATION.!!!!!!!!1

ring central is waste of money no customer service no it help it took me 6 months just to get my office phone that was purchased from them to switch out

It is not working. When I log-in it says that I am authenticated, the it still has the login button and no telo icon is displayed. hopefully this bug will be fixed soon.

This extension stopped working after a mandatory chrome update. After hours and hours of tech support and my own investigation, Ringcentral is unable to determine the cause and closed the case. It fails to load and is greyed out (along with google drive extension as well). My other extensions work fine.
