Not only does it find ads but also other images that I have no clue where from but to make it even worse in multiple sizes.

There are two extensions named Image Downloader, this one and another; they're the same, with a different color icon but the same design. The interface is the same, the way they work is the same. Neither one can actually properly extract images. It just brings up glitchy borders and emojis instead of the pictures on the page.

USELESS does NOT work - error message "cannot access images on this page" - need to be done manually instead which defeats its purpose

It simply does not work.

Take more time to load images and not working properly.

Doesn't even grab all the images on the site. Only downloads thumbnails, not the actual images when on sites like Pinterest or Booru sites. You can only select Small, Med, Large instead of a slider that lets you custom pick the pixel ranges. A huge disappointment ever since Google shut down One Click Image Downloader. I can't find anything like it.

This extension manipulates/rewrites some google search results, to generate Affiliate marketing income. It manipulates search results without user consent, compromising browsing integrity. While it offers useful image downloading features, its undisclosed modifications and potential tracking raise privacy concerns. Users should be cautious about its true intentions.

Messes with google search results redirecting to admitab.com

Hijacks urls from google search and adds annoying redirections to them

Doesn't actually download a Facebook album, it actually downloads the smaller cropped thumbnails.

Used to be good, but has now become adware. Started diverting all my traffic to admitab.com. Bummer.

Diverts web pages automatically to other sites. Incredibly annoying and potentially dangerous

DO NOT INSTALL, constantly redirects to third party websites when browsing. At best, a scummy way to make money and is probably against the terms of service. At worst, outright malware and should definitely be removed.

This extension has some malware in it - knowingly or not - it's redirecting me constantly to strange ecommerce sites, like bestadperf.com, amp.gloss.com and checkload.net, or even shutting down on ir3.xyz (whatever all these sites are).

recently it has started putting an overlay of sorts on my search page whenever i enter something like "samsung washing machine" (anything that can have shopping results) and takes me to some admitab link first which will then redirect me to the page that wanted to visit. really scummy way to make money tbh. its been extremely annoying and it took me a while to realize that its not Google's AI but an extension that is messing up my search links.

Everyone report this extension! It redirects many websites ALL THE TIME it was driving me crazzy that I though I had a virus and did many precaution steps...Frequent meant I was even considering to re-install Windows despite full scan and some manual. Look at the other reviews saying the same thing, it will either send you to affiliate websites(Example sending you all the time from any eBay page to the eBay homepage with their custom affiliate link. Same with Amazon and many etc...) or send you to websites that is blank (I remember a few times saying AT&T blocks it). Their response to some of the negative review is "We do not change the destination of the link" BUT I'M ALWAYS REDIRECTED SO IT IS CHANGED...So I wouldn't trust their other response: - We do not track any of your clicks - We do not collect any browsing or personal information Extension was fine before but now it will redirect many sites all the time until it was disabled and now confirmed was removed! Peace of mind now.

This is a thumbnail downloader not a image downloader. It try to download the thumbnail or small images already loaded in the webpage, not the full resolution images. It's a useless app, unless you actually want to download the thumbnails.

It was a great extension, but now I discovered that they are reloading some e-commerce pages that you area accessing to earn adSense-alike money. Example: If I access aliexpress, the page is reloaded by this extension, as if they send me to ali.

Keeps redirecting to different sites. I have seen the address for discount hero appear just before it does this. Spyware & adware removal apps WILL NOT find this. I went through all my extensions 1 by 1 and this is for sure the culprit.

Redirects my clicks to admitab. I turned off all extensions to isolate it and this was the one.

The extension is malicious. It redirects google searches and even direct bookmarks. It redirects to many sites, some of which are: srvtrck.com, provenpixel.com, linksynergy.com, pxf.io, shoptastic.io. It took some time to confirm that it is responsible. If you see any of these sites, this extension is the cause.

Agree with previous comment - This is a malicious extension. Hijack the browser and change all the google links to advertisements. Dont use it even though it is free.

This is a malicious extension. Hijack the browser and change all the google links to advertisements. Yes, it will eventually redirect you back to the correct link. Dont use it even though it is free.

In response to user complaints about redirects to affiliate links, the developer responds as follows: >> Lars Porter >> - We do not change the destination of the link Lars, this is a complete lie. When I want to open my Keeper Web Vault, your extension redirects me to completely different pages. For example, to the page: https://invideo.io/studio?mpid=1398851&irgwc=1 What does this page have to do with my password vault??? When I first discovered the problem, I thought that the Keeper service had been hacked. I spent two days searching for the problem and trying to clean my computer of possible malware, viruses and trojans. Your extension acts like adware and malware, replacing targeted URLs with your affiliate links. You are using a solution that completely misleads the user and is parasitic on the privacy and freedom of surfing the Internet. I am deleting your extension and asking the site administration to carefully review the activity of your extension for compliance with the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service of the Chrome Web Store.

Similar to another user, I started noticing a ton of URL redirects. Every other tab I opened, it would redirect me to a similar website, but with "ref" links attached to it. I couldn't figure it out for the life of me until I googled something and noticed that there was little $ icon beside a suspicious link. The link was supposed to be for eBay Developer's Program, but the actual URL at the bottom of the page showed something else entirely. I inspected the page and identified that the little $ icon was an asset for this extension specifically. Then coming here to look at the reviews, someone else has mentioned the same. I've reported this extension for malicious intent and will be removing it now. UPDATE: Lars Porter responds fast, all give you that.. literally minutes after I post a review, there's a response. - You do "change" the destination of the link, because when I visit a specific website/sub page, it redirects me to the main home page with the URL as www.WHATEVERWEBSITE.com/(your referral link) rather than the sub-page that I'm supposed to be going to. - I'm unable to verify whether or not you track clicks or if you collect browsing/personal information because - I didn't agree to the option of accepting the use of affiliate identifiers, it just started happening randomly.

Be careful. Recently with some links it redirects to click.linksynergy.com I have tested ***all*** the extensions and this is the one that causes the redirection. For example: Opera Browser --> Twitter (or X) --> 'New Scientist' posts Instead of opening the article, it opens a blank page of linksyenergy Removing P.S.: Lars Porter is a liar. His extension is a scam version of «Image downloader - Imageye». I have removed Porter's and installed the latter. No more redirects.

Its an adware. It redirects google searches results to ad pages first, and then to the intended page. Reporting and removing right away.

Randomly started adding redirects to my Google search results, shifty behaviour so immediately deleted this extension and everything has gone back to normal. Great way for the developers to tank their successful extension once everyone catches on

Started adding ad redirects WITHOUT WARNING. The only hint that this is happening is a small image appearing next to a google search result, which my ad-blocker catches and interferes with. I had to inspect element to find what was causing this and turn it off manually. Shady practice & should be opt-in.

DO NOT USE!!!! its the same as nearly all other image downloaders on the web store except has an insulting number redirects to ads on nearly every site including google searches. There is no reason to use this app with the numerous image downloaders on the store without hijacking your destination. I have never seen another extension that inflicts this level of obtrusive ad redirects on its users before. Spare us the line of BS about needing ads to support development as we don't care, we care about not being harassed. All we need to do is pick another extension. Which I did and so will you my dear reader. DO NOT support intrusive extensions like these. Good riddance!

Don't use this unless you like being redirected to other webpages constantly. You'll see a new icon next to google links, and hovering over will show redirections to admitab.com. Not cool at all,.

This plugin can work, but it will redirect https://bestadperf.com/, that will affect your experience in using chrome. Almost every website will be affected. Please attantion! And Choose another plugin!

I recently discovered that this extension injects its own affiliate codes into URLs, including Google Search and other pages, effectively hijacking the destination URLs.

DO NOT INSTALL CONTAINS MALWARE. This extension used to be fine and very helpful it now redirects a lot of sites that you visit which contain purchases to affiliate links. Not only this ublock identifies the links they pass you through as untrustworthy and adware would highly recommend everyone to report this extension and uninstall so it can get taken down.

EDIT: you can lie to others how much you want, little scammer, soon the extension will be taken down so it's best if you find another way to scam people elsewhere. ---- "Please do not mislead users!" you're such a scumbag. You're injecting malware in people's browsers and don't want to be called out. Get a real job if you're struggling so much to pay rent. I bet your family is really proud of having raised a scammer. Shame on you! For the people who see this, please report the extension as suspicious here on Chrome Web Store and file a complaint in Google Support Forum so hopefully they will take this malware down and people that don't know any better won't install it.

I've used this plugin for a long time but they must have recently added some ad and tracking stuff that is redirecting URLs to the wrong place. No matter what the developer claims, this is unacceptable. This is going beyond just trying to make a buck off of affiliate links. This is malware.

WHOEVER IS READING THIS DON'T INSTALL THIS EXTENSION. Contains malware that redirects to ads when using Google Search. Already reported. Edit: don't listen to the author. Just because he doesn't think its malware doesn't mean it isn't. He's a scammer and he's going down soon.

My UBlockOrigin extension was detecting malicious tracking sites whenever I clicked on an official link (from Nike, Amazon, etc). As I removed each one of my extensions to find out which is the infiltrator, I found out that ImageDownloader was putting malicious tracking links before entering an official website. When I disabled ImageDownloader, the links were fine and went straight to the website. As much as I love this extension, please be very cautious when clicking links with this extension enabled.

No matter what folder I choose for the download location, it just creates a folder in the default Downloads folder and names it the location of where I wanted it to go. I chose C:/desktop/pictures, and it saved it in Downloads in a folder named "C:/desktop/pictures". Completely useless.

Same issue as reported by Coin-coin le Canapin. Google search results are replaced with affiliate links/ads and results in links not opening if you use adblockers. Reported to Google.

★☆☆☆☆2024-05-28

It replaces Google search results with affiliate links/ads and results in links not opening if you use adblockers. It's mentionned in the product description, but after the "see more" button, of course, where nobody will read it. For this reason, I consider this extension malicious and I recommend not to use it.
